  • It's fab!! I started C25K this time last year, I ran my first half marathon in Sept and am currently training for this year's London Marathon .... And it all started with Couch to 5K! X good luck x
  • Well done!! To give up smoking too is a challenge in itself I bet you're very proud of yourself! X
  • Non-scales victory - which yours certainly was, wel done!
  • On Saturday I ran 10k in training (my longest & further ever run) AND Yesterday I got a new 5k PB Am feeling pretty chuffed with myself at the moment - especially as 5 months ago I couldn't run for 1 min without my lungs catching fire. B)
  • Completed today's Speed Pacer runner and had covered 4.5km so decided to carry on to the max I've ever run 5km ...... Then when I reached 5km, I think Forrest Gump can explain better than me: 'I just kept on running' 7.5 beautiful Km's (4.6miles) later and THAT is now my furthest ever run *happy dance!* Next stop .....…
  • Shaved 2 FABULOUS minutes of my 5km PB today, it nearly broke me but I got it down to 33.53! That's 10.5minute miles - not bad for someone who hadn't run for about 20 years up until 3 months ago B)
  • I am no longer 'obese' just 'overweight' - whoop whoop! Yes that's right, I'm cheering because I'm technically overweight LOL
  • Ah ok I've got you - I wasn't logged in so I couldn't add you - but have now lol. Right! Let's smash some challenges out :D
  • Hey! I need UK fitbitters too ... But have no idea how to add friends by URL lol. Any ideas how to?
  • Pre babies AND pre wedding (7 years ago) jeans not only FIT but need a belt on them too!! *does victory dance round bedroom*
  • I've got it wrong, I believe the firmware update is for the Surge to add (amongst other things) a Bike tracker with GPS to the exercises! Whoop!
  • Fitbit just sent out a firmware upgrade too so that might resolve it without revoking access etc
  • Mine the same but I followed this: https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1427466-what-if-data-doesn-t-appear-to-be-syncing-from-fitbit-to-myfitnesspal- Had to disconnect Fitbit from MFP and 'Revoke access' on my Fitbit account - wait 15mins then reconnect (through website not app) as explained in the…
  • Amazing! Well done, that's a fantastic achievement x
  • Being able to run along side my son whilst teaching him to ride his bike without stabilisers - although he is too quick for me now lol
  • I've just finished C5K and point blank refused to run for years prior to starting in Feb. I was out of breath in the running sections but not to the point where I couldn't carry on. I know some people say run slow enough to hold a conversation but I couldn't but I put that down to being so unfit to start with. Now I've…

  • I have the surge because I use the GPS function when running so unless you'll use that I wouldn't bother with the surge, I believe the charge is the same as surge minus the GPS. I read putting the Fitbit on your least dominate arm could increase accuracy because this morning Id done 14 steps before Id even got out of bed!!!
  • I need Fitbit friends but no idea how to add URLs so feel free to add and then challenge me https://www.fitbit.com/user/37SGR5
  • Just done my first photo comparison and I'm in shock! Feeling a bit brave/proud so I'm posting the picture that triggered me to sort myself out in the hope it motivates others as your fab photos have done for me so far - thank you xx 3 months in and approx. half way, 27lb down.
  • It really does, doesn't it? I laugh every time I say 'I'm just going for a run' to my hubby - it still sounds bizarre lol
  • Thank you everyone, I appreciate all your help and advice. I'm tracking my times so I can see my fitness levels increasing it gives me the incentive to keep pushing on. And thanks for the HIIT info, think I'm a bit off that at the moment but can see the benefits so will definitely keep it in mind for a month or so time but…
