  • i have both. I have to loose about 80 pounds total and I dont expect to be able to realistically do that until next year. My first goal was to break 200 pounds. I got on the scale after a workout (yes I know it was water weight but I was still happy) and I was 199.2. I was so happy. I had officially lost the first 20…
  • i used care credit. It took a long time to pay off, but it was worth every dime
  • I know how you feel. I think most people on this site have been there. The worst is when I saw a picture of myself fishing with my son....i was literally 2x as wide as him. Then I went to the doctor a few months later and stepped on the scale. That did it. I finally had proof that I was obese and I had to change. I have…
  • because you come across very negative and somewhat obsessed that she has an eating disorder or body dis-morphia. I believe she stated several times that she is an accomplished marathon runner so her view of food would probably be very different than you or I. Food is fuel, its not just about weight loss in this case. A…
  • Just got back from workout number 2. Went on a 3 mile walk before work and just finished 20 min of weights and 30 min on the stairmaster. I fit in workout where I can. I doubt I'll be able to fit in a workout tomorrow with class, work and kid. It just depends on the day
  • Maybe just take a few days/week off. Your body could just need a bit of a break
  • pain=stop its one thing if you are sore. Being sore is normal. There is not much muscle behind the knee, so I would doubt that is the case. You could be aggravating injured or overstretched tendons/ligaments. It can come from a variety of things. What exercise are you doing when you feel the pain?
  • just one thing....hummus. Love it! It is always in my fridge.
  • Mine was separated by over 4 in; you could have put a fist in my wonder weird divet. I did a lot of exercises that focused on the trans abs and general core. I remember being told to stay away from crunches etc until the muscles came back together. Eventually when I was completely done with babies I had a tummy tuck…
  • you look great. I would have to say, keep doing what you are doing and incorporate weights into your regime. Yes you can gain muscle and loose weight at the same time. The scale might not reflect that, but your measurements and look will. There are some great stories of people that weighed less (skinny fat) than when they…
  • I try to go with a healthy appetizer or two. It gives me more variety
  • The best and cheapest way is to track your measurements.
  • You are correct. That is a great point. The reverse fly machine is a great example of that. I constantly see people adjust the machine incorrectly, or "throw" the weight back and pinch the spine. Free weights are the best thing for overall conditioning as they also incorporate more of the secondary muscles as well. For the…
  • slow and steady. Im obese :( I used to be a fitness nut but im more than a little flabby now. If you have never lifted before i would have someone show you proper form and technique. For starters i would probably stick to the weight machines because you are less likely to get hurt from improper form or hyper extending you…
  • i like to crochet
  • im still eating at a deficit so i have it set to 1200 kcal. So i absolutely eat some of the calories i burn because im hungry. This does depend on what kind of workout. I will be much more conservative on my eating if I only go for a walk or something vs a high intensity cadio and weight session.
  • I do the same. I think yesterday I was lifting weights for 30 min (worked up a little bit of a sweat) and it showed about 90 calories burned. Its not much; but its not nothing. plus the more muscle mass you get, the more calories you burn throughout the day
  • my tummy doesnt like oats; but i just finished overnight rolled wheat and almond milk cereal with chia seeds and dried fruit
  • Hepburn also survived the German occupation and was severely malnourished in her teenage years which could be why she was so slender. Poor woman almost starved to death. "We ate nettles and everyone tried to boil grass – in addition to tulips – but I really couldn't stand it," Hepburn said.
  • i dont know but i just ate beef jerky and chocolate for 3 days :)
  • *not she; me. i got the lift...weird auto correct lol
  • ok so this is not my first time being fat. I got really heavy after my first daughter. Then i kept the weight off for years. I was an E when I was breast feeding her. I stayed steady at a c after i lost the weight. Whe i got super fit I was finally a B. She I stayed at a B for a while I got a breast lift, cause after 3…
  • everyone is different. my husband still fits in his pants from hhigh school (hes 40). He can literally eat what ever he wants and he does. Fast food, high calorie bomb meals, sodas everyday etc. He take his yearly physical and all his blood test come back great. Me on the other hand. I track my calories, i work out, all…
  • we love taco tuesdays in our house. I just make them healthy. I get 90/10 lean ground beef (i get ground turkey when i can but my husband and son prefer the beef). I like mine more like a taco salad. If i want the crunch ill crunch up 1/2 a taco shell on top. I personally usually skip the sour cream and shedded cheese. Or…
  • i used one on the wii and it worked. My kids loved it too. We would all break a sweat playing the game. I dont remember the name of it, but it had roller blading and you had to jump over things, running in place, kickboxing and tradional exercises with a band
  • Ive found this to be fairly true
  • You know this was what I needed today. I've been avoiding the weight room because I've gotten out of shape. Basically my pride has been keeping mee out because I used to be buff. It wasn't pretty but I just left the room after a full set and winding down on the tredmill. Thanks for the post. It gave me the kick in the…
  • I eat salad almost every day. I think 4 cups of greens is like 40 kcal. I load mine up with chopped carrots, celery, tomatoes and whatever other veggies I have. I don't track the fresh raw veggies as careful...but all the extras I track. Like I count the olives, or measure an artichoke heart etc. I like to make my own…
  • I keep it out of the house. I have certain triggers and I over eat. I love french bread with butter. I'm one of those people that has a hard time just having a slice and leaving the rest...so once in a blue moon I buy it, but chips, yummy bread, a lot of pasta dishes etc are not brought in on a regular basis..... I have…
  • If the sweat and showers are a problem at the gym ( I don't take a shower at the gym either because I got athletes foot once..ewww). I bought a water proof baby crib liner and I keep it in my car. I use it to cover my car seat so I don't transfer sweat or smell to my car fabric. Then I rush home and take a shower
