  • I am a mom of 3 I work and go to school full time. I am BUSY. My weight loss has been a yoyo. When ever midterms and finals come around I dont sleep, I cant wake up eraly to workout, I eat like crap and gain weight. This last set of tests I gained 10lbs from letting go and not getting back into the swing of things. I am so…
  • almond milk, silk yogurt or cashew yogurt, vegan cheese, oil instead of butter. I love coconut oil and jam on toast. Sorbet instead of icecream. I would try a health food/natural store near you. I find they have the best substitutes. Also dont go into this thinking "this isnt the same, this doesnt taste like my normal…
  • I got super stressed after my midterms and I fell right back into old habits. I gained 10 lbs quick....mainly because I had stopped taking measrements and weighing myself. My personal little mantra is "I did this to myself and I can fix this myself"
  • Im not doing slim fast, but I am making "protein" shakes as a meal replacement right now. I got pea protein powder and I mix it with almond milk(im allergic to milk), kale, chia seeds and half a banana. It nets around 250-300 cal. Slim fast and other meal replacement programs are only for the short term. I would not do it…
  • Salt. This happens to me all the time. My weakness is salt. It doesnt help that I retain water weight like a champ. All it takes is a high sodium soup/ a few pickles/ handful of chips/ refined carbs, and I will weigh a few more pounds more the next day.
  • 15 years ago I lost over 60 pounds when my first daughter was born. I was younger so the weight was a little easier to get off. I just ate less and moved more. I am doing it once again. 3 years ago I was hit by a car and gained a lot of "pitty me" weight. In the last year I have had many ups and downs and had to get fit…
  • I have the Garmin version. It was less expensive. It does not track heart rate, but I looked the fitbit reviews there were very split oppinions about the accuracy of the HR in the fitbit. For me personally I decided to forgo the HR until the technology is a little more accurate. The Garmin still syncs up with myfitnesspal…
  • 80 pounds in less than 2 years. I had major negative life events and i was depressed and ate my feelings. Im much better now and i have lost 25 pounds since the summer
  • after i lost weight i went from a D to a B; i had a lift because of the extra skin...best thing ever. wait until you loose the weight to have surgery for the best results
  • i have a ninja and i love it. I have blended carrots, ice, pumpkin etc. I have had it for 2 years and it still works great. you can usually find a deal on amazon or bed bath and beyond
  • yep; im in that boat. I have always been sensitive to salt. because of a huge weight gain last year i did end up on BP meds. I should be off of them as i loose weight. Low salt isnt bad at all. I avoid most packaged foods, msg etc. I get low sodium broths and soups (trader joes has some of the lowest ive seen). I have…
  • Butter. Margarine is gross. I also love coconut oil on my bread
  • I had to figure out what was making me binge. I had stayed at an awesome weight and fitness level for years. Then some trauma happened and I ate my feelings. I needed to feel full to be satisfied. Wile I dealt with my feelings I also had to deal with my bad habits and my bodies craving to feel full. I kicked the bad food…
  • I gave up my fru fru creamer yesterday. I'm saving over 200 kcal a day now. Just a splash of almond milk or 2% milk, just depends on what is in the house. I will still get my fun coffees once in a while, but my daily coffe is headed towards black.
  • /\/\/\ second that poster. I used to run a lot. As soon as I got good shoes and socks I almost never got blisters again. I am a very cheap person, except when it comes to bras and running shoes. Worth every penny :)
  • i would be hungry too. Lots of veggies and fruit. I can eat a huge salad with tons of veggies, chicken, olives, artichoke hearts, garbonzo beans, chicken breast etc for under 400 calories and I am full after that. I would take the others suggestions and redo your diet to add more fiber rich foods that will fill you up. I…
  • i started adding weights into my workout again so my weight went up; but I can tell im loosing because im firming up and my pants almost fell off my butt while i was walking upstairs. I also retain water like a sponge (super sensitive to sodium) In general ill be stagnant for a few weeks, then all of a sudden a few pounds…
  • sadly that really was from my walk/run the other day (it was 8am by the way) :( we have a bad homeless problem here. They are fairly harmless, just usually drunk/high. One time about 2 years ago i was on an early run and I walked past the same spot and they had set up a "bar". No Joke they took one of those big cable…
  • I nod if I make eye contact and give one of those good old creepy smiles. I usually keep my eyes down, wear a hat or sunglasses....but I dont have the best jogging trail here. Yesterday on my walk I saw a guy chugging a bottle of grey goose before the bridge (what homeless guy has $35 for a bottle of grey goose....uggghhh…
  • I keep them in my diet because I like them. Have you ever dipped them in Greek yogurt and stuck them in the freezer?...so good. I like them for the potassium and other nutrients. They are a great pre/post workout snack with peanut butter.
  • Every week I have to make a 400 mile round trip. My options are limited on the free way, since I go through a lot of farm areas. Its a gas station, mc d, jack in the box, and carls jr etc. My go to is subway. They are at most areas, they are "healthier" although loaded with sodium and chemicals....but they are easy to log…
  • insurance will not cover plastic surgery in the US unless it is reconstructive because of an accident/cancer etc.
  • oh god no. my credit was horrible. My x husband used my social to open a bunch of credit cards in my ssn before the divorce paperwork was final. I had to file for bankruptcy. I got the surgery about 3/4 years later. I paid for half of my surgery from savings and the other with carecredit
  • Yep I got a tummy tuck and a breast lift after I was done having kiddos. I had horrible sagging skin. My DR was over 4in....I carry my kids straight out. The DR recovery was hard, but it was worth it. Spend the money on a good surgeon. I went on a great website when i had mine done in 2008 called makemeheal.com. they were…

The struggle is real :)
  • I did the class a few times and loved it! Wow did it kick my butt and I was in awesome shape at that time.
  • I like it. I use the gym ones, but if I had the space I would love one for my home. Running inside for me comes down to my time. Im in school full time, i work and have 3 kids. I can rarely find the time to have someone watch the kids while i go out for a run; but my gym has daycare. The only time I can really justify…
