  • It's funny how we are all so different with tasting sweet, sour, etc. I enjoy plain Greek yogurt, as is. I also like Shredded Wheat without sugar and just some fresh blueberries. I guess over time I just got used to not adding sugar to things. I hope you find something that works for you. It's a great source of protein :)
  • I'm interested!
  • I so agree with your comments. It's very frustrating and ends up costing me too much time researching other entries. I sure wish we (USA) would switch to metric.
  • What is it in particular about bread that you want to stay away from? I have given up for the most part all foods containing flour. One thing for certain for me is that eating foods containing flour, other then very minimal, makes my belly look huge. The only bread type products that I eat on a regular basis or by a…
  • One way to eliminate or reduce the gas that beans produce is to make sure that you rinse your beans thoroughly. Doing so not only helps to eliminate the gas but also the undigestible sugars. Or something like that
  • Yum. Everybody's breakfast sounds so good. This morning I make two poached eggs in the microwave and had them over an Ezekiel English muffin. I like my eggs poached simply because its the least amount of calories. I also like the Ezekial product line because I mostly follow the no flour no sugar lifestyle. I tend to like…
  • Please share your recipe. Sounds so delicious.
  • Interesting thread. I like the Dam Delicious site, too.
  • Hello. I'm a 53 year old Midwestern gal. Would love to join. I'm working on my last 5-8 pounds after currently losing 10 since last September.
  • Interested in joining in the conversation. I enjoy riding outdoors in the warmer months here in Minneapolis area. I train in the off months at our local YWCA 4x per week. I'll start to keep better track of my stats.
  • Congrats. I'm pretty stoked, too. It does work!!
  • Stick with mostly abstinence. The cravings become pretty manageable after about a week. This is what's worked for me. The only thing I initially did not cut out was my daily Natural Bliss coffee creamer.
  • I guess to some extent I'm guilty of making judgements when I see people important to me eating foods that are calorie dense. But it's because I care about them. Anyway, I feel so much better when I minimize processed foods. I'm not 100% that way but try. Add me if you'd like.
  • I simply feel a whole lot better with minimal processed sugar in my diet. And the opposite is also true: I feel sluggish and basically lousy after having something more than an occasional treat.
  • I would like to join in. I have already restricted consuming "added" sugars since Sept '14. I still eat fruit in moderation, but have given up all but occasional deserts. I was one of those people that craved sugar and ate it mindlessly. When I do eat a desert now I make sure to only have half and place the remaining…
  • I understand. I am not around tempting foods all day long like other people, but I do plan on having a nice treat on Valentine's Day. I've been planning it for weeks. Hang in there, you can do it!
  • [/quote]This isn't really a yes or no question. In a perfect world, where your calories were 100% accurate (they aren't) and your heart monitor was 100% accurate (it isn't) and your body burned exactly the number of calories mfp give to someone who is sedentary (it doesn't), you would be fine eating back exactly what you…
  • Please, please, please forgive the redundancy of my question. I've read other answers and my (dull) brain reads to much into it and confuses me. Please respond yes or no. I want to lose the last 5lbs (.5 per week) . I set my activity level to sedentary. I do a lot of cardio about 4-5 days a week, 400 calories expended at a…
  • Hi. I'm new here, too, and although I don't have all the answers for you I wanted to let you know you were heard. Kudos for you for wanting to be the best mom you can be. He's going to be counting on you for a long time. My suggestion is to log as much as you can so you can establish patterns. Until you get on a plan! Best…
  • I love the Polar heart rate monitors. I have a FT60 that has training programs and fitness test built right into its training computer(watch). It's very motivating, and as far as I'm concerned the only way to really track your calories burned is by using a HR monitor. I've been a HRM user for years. I was considering one…
