  • Hi. Would love to share as well. [edited by mods]
  • I’ve got the same issue with the pop-up screen for syncing to the health app. I also get some crazy numbers under exercise where MFP is giving me a crazy negative adjustment. I usually just delete that because it makes zero sense. I have an Apple Watch 3 and iPhone 6s
  • This too shall pass. And from the late great Lynn Bremicker “next year you’ll have a whole new set of problems”
  • Thanks for this recipe. I’m making it this Thursday!
  • Same thing happening here for me as well. I have an Apple Watch 3 that I just got within the last two weeks. Sometimes The step calorie adjustments are negative, and add up to the exact same amount as the exercise that is recorded through my Watch/Health app. Other times it’s a double posting under the step calorie…
  • I am also having quite a time figuring this out. New Apple Watch user, former Fitbit user. My exercise calories are dismal now compared to using Fitbit for about the same amount of steps, exercise workouts. Fitbit would send over the calories burned and it would show as an adjustment. There was no record of workout from…
  • I’m a new Watch user as well. Would love to be added. I was formally a Fitbit user and miss the interaction. I’ll send you a PM with my email address. Hoping you know how to add because I haven’t a clue how to do it.
  • When you say you maintain on xxxx (1800 cal, for example) and exercise x days per week, does that include eating back your exercise calories, or are the calories burned from exercise extra on top of your base (1800, for example)?
  • I guess I already had a list of foods I didn't like before I started to watch my calories. So for the most part I love just about everything I eat. I'm not wasting precious calories on stuff I don't like. The few things I won't eat that others seem to enjoy are Brussels sprouts and okra. Vile to me. Hated them as a kid,…
  • If someone would please clarify for me. I've read other posts where someone will say their diary is open. When I click on that person's profile it always tells me that this user's feed is private. Am I doing something wrong to why I can't see a non-friend's diary even though they've posted it's open? TIA.
  • I just had some insanely good pizza tonight. It's my one year wedding anniversary. This pizza joint is my favorite place in all the pizza joints I've ever been to...anywhere. I logged in over 800 calories in pizza alone and over 200 calories above my budget. It's hard to not feel panicky or guilty. But you know what? I…
  • Chiming in here. Over the years I felt that my left knee and was causing me pain. It was slowly getting worse. I lift weights three times a week and do pay careful attention to my form. I also cycle 2 to 4 times a week, and walk my dog 2 to 4 miles per day. I would take a Advil just to minimize or eliminate the pain. I…
  • My husband's idea of 1 serving is a full bowl.
  • New Blaze owner. Feel free to add me. https://www.fitbit.com/user/35QKQJ
  • Following, as I'm a new FitBit (Blaze) user, too.
  • I'm mostly reading this for entertainment, but I must interrupt to say OMG (face palm). I hope she's on birth control.
  • Thank you very much for your reply and also starting this thread with all this great information.
  • "Getting down to body fat levels that are low enough to have abs or even a flat stomach is something very few achieve." Is there a general conscience on what max % of BF someone might have before abs start showing up? On a female.
  • Congratulations. I would like to know more about "premium membership". I did a quick search in the forums but nothing showed up.
  • Maybe I am not typical, but......I am 53 yo female. I've always been within the healthy weight range, sometimes more on the higher end. I recently had my Resting Metabolic Rate tested and showed my metabolism was normal for my age and gender. I have been tracking my calories on MFP for 40+ days and have lost 5 lbs. I…
  • Check out sprouted bread. Companies like Ezekial make great products. They make bread from sprouts and not flour which I think is what your trainer is steering you away from. Personally I love the products. Bread also causes bloating for me, too.

  • You have to be somewhat careful about the stated amount of calories burned while exercising. Many of the machines and even the database from MFP estimate higher than what may be true. I take my calories burned reported using a heart rate monitor. For me that seems to be pretty accurate as I'm consistently and steadily…
  • I am one who (somewhat) watches sugar intake. I eat all the fruit I want (1-2 pieces a day), avoid juice because it's too high in calories and I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. I mostly restrict process sugars found in treats because they are trigger foods for me. I have a heck of a time eating anything remotely…
  • I'm waiting for actual user reviews for the heart rate feature. Reviews of other HR monitors worn at the wrist, no chest strap, have not been stellar. Otherwise, the high end models are beautiful.
  • I went with Teras Whey. It was recommended in my organic food co-op. Those people are generally pretty knowledgeable. There is not a lot of weird things in it at all. It's grass fed, organic, pure nutrition. The ingredients list is organic dairy whey protein concentrate, organic vanilla, organic sunflower lecithin, organic…
  • Great job. Keep it up. I think most of this is mind over matter.

  • I generally eat as you describe. My go to snacks are carrot sticks and hummus, apples and nut butter, Ezekiel bread (contains no flour) with nut butter, popcorn, other fruits.
  • Processed foods with too many ingredients, artificial sweeteners, food dye, just to name a few. When looking at recipes if it has too much added sugar I'll pass by it, too.
  • Mine is about the same. Nice to see most everyone else's is similar. Typically, riding outdoors with variable road, wind, etc, conditions will show higher numbers, at least has been my experience.

  • You'll know soon enough and can adjust accordingly. I record my calories as is (FT60) and am losing anywhere from .5-1.0 per week. Just pick a percentage and go for it.
