  • For me personally it was easier to go cold turkey. I was vegetarian for almost 5 years and was vegan on and off in between I'm back to being vegan and I love it. It is definitely a challenge some days especially where I live there aren't a lot of vegan options if I chose to dine out. I'm hoping to transition my husband one…
  • You should definitely be eating more calories while bf. I breastfed my daughter until she was 20 mo. Go momma!
  • Vegetarian for 4 years... working on being vegan. I've been on and off vegan for those 4 years but I always fail when we go out to eat. I'm gonna do it this time. I'm in it or the ethical reasons.... so I have to keep reminding myself why I'm doing it.
  • I've been vegetarian for almost 5 years and vegan in between. I'm very limited on the dairy I eat and I raise chickens so I typically only eat their eggs. I would like to go 100% vegan and possibly raw to be as healthy as I possibly can be! I'm currently going to school to become a licensed dietician more on the holistic…

  • Also try and avoid things with soy especially for boys!
  • Try quinoa. It's delicious and you can make it with steam veggies! Have you tried eating lentils? They should give the baby gas, and they're super healthy! Oatmeal is another good option! My baby also had a sensitive stomach and was gassy! So I'm trying to recall what I ate while BFing her.
  • I'm so glad you wrote this. Ppl on this blog have no idea about being vegan or vegetarian. Ppl annoy me with their comments without being properly educated! There are so many vegan body builders, athletes and so on who are much healthier than people who eat meat. It takes a little knowledge to become vegan but never should…
  • Everyday I drink a vegan protein powder made by Phood. Or Vega. Both are really healthy and taste great. I make it with coconut milk or just water.
  • I cut mine into 1/2" slices, sprinkle with salt and put in colander for an hour with a heavy plate on top to drain excess juices. Then I dip in egg and bread crumbs and fry up in a little coconut oil. Once they're golden brown I put them in a baking dish and put sauce on them and bake for half an hour or so.
  • You can be vegan and be healthy! There are a lot of athletes, body builders etc on plant based diets. You have to read every label on things you buy at the store. Lots of fruits, veggies, beans, lentils on a daily basis. I like to eat quinoa a lot. It's a grain that absorbs the flavor of what it's cooked in. I'm not a fan…
