Thanks for all the info! I have been GF for about a year and at first I felt much better, but now I am having issues again and thinking about trying FODMAP diet.

Hi, welcome!

I like to have green tea in the morning. The great thing other than giving me energy is that it can also help with weight loss! I had to go through an adjustment period when I switched from coffee, but now I love the tea.

@mandykent111 I use the protein powder from Trader Joe's and I like it, plus it's not expensive. I haven't used any liporidex products before, but seems like it could be helpful for me for more energy and to help me with my crazy snacking! Let me know how it goes.

I try to have snacks that are high in protein throughout the day, especially after I workout. I usually look for ideas incorporating nuts, nut butter, or yogurt.

Hello, welcome! It is great you have made this step in the right direction already, good luck with everything!

I usually get unflavored protein powder, and then mix it with whatever I want to give it that flavor. Then at least you are not having to try and cover up a gross vanilla or whatever flavor the powder has.

I had stopped buying girlscout cookies when I found out I had a gluten allergy, but now they have GF ones. I finally caved and bought some last week, and they were really good!

Everyone makes mistakes. It helps me to make sure that I don't have anything I know I shouldn't eat in the house, and I try to find similar, healthier substitutes to fight off cravings.

I have not done Pure Barre, but I have done another barre class for a while now and I love it! The problem is that I still find myself wanting to incorporate other things on some days (cardio, lifting), but I then it just gets way too expensive. I would definitely give it a try though!

Great idea! I just recently decided to start eating out less, and I am already noticing a difference.

Water does a great job on its own, but you can add some lemon if you want some added benefits

I agree, what is probably most frustrating about this is that this lawsuit will ultimately be more harmful to people who need to eat GF when restaurants no longer want to provide more expensive GF options out of fear of being sued.

Try to plan your meals ahead for the week. That way you can plan your calories, portions, and it is fun to try different recipes along the way.

I just made this the other night and it was pretty good: Lemon Pepper Shrimp Scampi Ingredients 1 cup uncooked orzo 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided 7 teaspoons unsalted butter, divided 1 1/2 pounds peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp 2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic 2 tablespoons fresh lemon…

It could possibly be the foods that you are eating in those 1300-1400 calories per day. Certain foods can cause you to hold onto the fat more than others, and eating clean is always best for overall health and weight loss. Also, I like to be sure that I am drinking at least half my body weight in oz of water per day.

If you don't drink a lot of your calories that is definitely a plus. I am going to make the typical party foods that I and my friends/family like, but with healthy substitutions for some of the ingredients. Also, a lot of dish options can be baked instead of fried. There are a ton of healthier recipes out there that you…

I sit all day also, and I like to make sure I move around at least once an hr. Ultimately, sitting at a desk all day is even more reason to set aside some time just for exercise before or after work daily, even if it is just for 15 min.

I have not been at this for all that long, and when I first started I had a lot of the same anxieties about doing my strength training at the gym. However, I agree that form is so important especially in the beginning, and I think that finding a friend that is possibly a little more experienced to go to the gym with is a…
