I'm in the same boat. I'm going on a cruise in a month- thank god its only a three day cruise so it won't be terrible with calories. I plan on working out and swimming everyday. I have 5 weeks till cruise so I'm just hoping on losing 10lbs which I feel is doable.

If by chance you do gain weight after starting birth control it is most likely water weight( as long as you are still at a calorie deficit). The extra water weight dissappears after a few weeks.
