Maybe we'll have a loss tomorrow dear Wheatless. If I had a magic wand I'd make it so that we knew what to do to lose weight and keep it off. I wouldn't magic the fat away because walking the necessary steps is a good thing. But just knowing *what* to do... *sigh* ;) Well done on not eating the popcorn, particularly when…

LOL Wheatless - it does sound strange ;) I'm very happy for yours too, and hope it stays gone! It is possible the antibiotics have had an effect of some description isn't it? So many variables. Today I'm 200g heavier than yesterday but I ate a 20 gram milk chocolate frog yesterday, because it was given to me as a Mothers…

Just sending love to you all quickly before I head for bed. I've read and loved all your messages, just not had the time to answer everyone personally, so I hope to do that properly tomorrow evening after the boys and grandies have gone home, and David's still at work.

I'm sorry that they finished on the Heart Association lady who disagrees with it. If they're trying to convince people that high fat is good, surely they should have finished with someone who agreed with the proposition. I laughed at 20mins 40secs "If they enjoy their food they're less likely to eat other things" Ummm what…

LOL @Goat Yup. The best way to crave something is to tell yourself you can't ;)

That's my belief too. My best has been 1.1 (a couple of times) but more normally I'm 0.7. This is first thing in the morning before any food or drink.

Eeeeek 7 out of 10 Wheatless? Oh. I'm guessing that does count :( Cross-posting from the 'Dairy Free' thread... And my weight report for this morning is down 100 grams (.2 of a lb). Yesterdays macros were C43 F92 P69 calories 1283. So fat was lower than my 123g goal and calories were a lot lower than my 1550 goal, but it…

Hooraaayyyy. I love adaptation. I'm adapted. I am, I am, I am ;) Yes, what a *beautiful* TV show that was! I always thought Lark Rise was the hamlet my grandmother was born and raised in. It wasn't, but they are both in Oxfordshire and about the same size, so that show particularly touched my heart. And my weight report…

Sentence one - eeeeek! ;) Sentence two - curses! It's my one treat. It's instant coffee, and weak. Sentence three - mumble, rumble, grumble. Sentence four - almost. The Man got home from work at 1am and we're just sharing a... *whistles skywards* and will then send up zzzzzs o:)

Hi @happylife I'm glad that you had a weight loss, though it would have been wonderful if it was about ten times that. Still, downwards by any degree is a good thing o:) @wheatless Thank you, I hope so too. The extra carbs were surprisingly easy to spend. I got some sweet potato and had some with brunch and some after…

That's a really thought-provoking article @Wabmester, thank you. And of course my exercise regime has been all wrong, as you already suggested recently. But I love huffing and puffing LOL I will try to do the nice, grandmotherly walks instead. I feel that I am doing the right things with my diet at least. Does she *know*…

@Wheatless 11 hours from now I’ll know if I have any First Day results LOL Somehow or another I’ve had 41g carbs today. Net. I always use net, so I shouldn’t worry too much. Struggling with keeping the fat high though, through lack of logging brunch until after I ate it. I should have had butter on top. @Foamroller…

I found this list of symptoms if you have too much cortisol lissarankin.com/10-signs-you-have-way-too-much-cortisol and have to say that I'm fine. The only one that applied to me currently, and then very, very mild, is the anxiety one. In my past life obviously the weight gain, craving unhealthy foods, gastro problems and…

Thank you @Mimilucious as Wheatless said, all input is helpful so that we can think it through. I usually have my main meal between noon and 1pm and then another meal between 6.30 and 9pm according to when I'm hungry. I'm alone for the second meal so I can please myself. If I'm hungry again around midnight (still 1 or 2…

It really is trial and error and, when you find The Answer, it's only about a week until the rules change again. Has dairy free resulted in anything positive for you @Risi? Hoping we both have a lovely big loss in the morning @Wheatless - or even a tiny one, but let's think positive. For now I just want to get back to the…

David has to work Sat and Sun so we're visiting his Mum Sat morning and mine Sun morning. My boys are coming to see me Sun arvo after David's gone to work. I'm glad you won't have to cook, that's always a lovely break isn't it?

Cross posting from the Five Days Dairy Free thread... It looks *really* odd seeing a 40 in my carb goal column instead of the <15 that it's had in there since January, but here goes. Probably going to have to buy some sweet potato or rice, which will thrill David to bits, he's been missing them. Or maybe extra onion,…

Cross posting this to the 'Two Ladies' thread as well... It looks *really* odd seeing a 40 in my carb goal column instead of the <15 that it's had in there since January, but here goes. Probably going to have to buy some sweet potato or rice, which will thrill David to bits, he's been missing them. Or maybe extra onion,…

Happy belated Birthday @Kate! I hope it was a happy one other than the results of the dessert :( And hope you're fully recovered very quickly too! No worries on the recipe, I really like it. It feels like a sweet treat but is mostly a healthy fat bomb other than the tiny speck of xylitol. And thank you for the wishes. It…

I usually aim for 1450 calories and eat around that, or 1350 ish. It's past midnight so I've gone in an adjusted my macro goals for the morning (can't say tomorrow because it is tomorrow already). Mmmm chocolate. I have some 72% dark Ghana in the pantry and I love nuts. I have some frozen raspberries... It's sounding…

@Kitn Well I surely hope for you that the weight stays gone and takes its friends with it! That brunch looks spectacular. Enjoy! @lizziewonka thank you very much, that does look very tasty!
-
@wabmester oh poor you! No, not indelicate at all, sorry to make you feel uncomfortable, and yes, post menopausal for sure. I truly have no idea if it’s high calorie or high carb I want. Whatever works best to shake things up :D Yes I can walk for a while instead of jog. Hubby has a bakers cyst behind his left knee at the…

@Kitn oh, that's fantastic, wow!!! I'm so pleased you're doing so well. It's good to know that someone is LOL Keep up the great work, and I love that you're fine-tuning what works for you, in so many ways!!!
-
Fully agree with all you've said, including 'what's the game plan'. I've no idea. Yes please!!!!! Should we start a new thread to ask a wider audience than this thread is receiving? If yes, are you happy for anyone to look at your diary so they can see what we've been eating until now? Is it open for everyone to view?
-
@Wheatless I wonder if having a high calorie day would kick start something for you? I've been considering it myself but don't know if I dare. What do you think - I'm game if you are. I think. Eeeekk! @octobubbles I'll do that if I ever have to cook by myself again. I used to cook well enough, but I gave it up 8 years ago…

Welcome Susan <3 Alaska? Wow! Truly the other end of the Earth from me, and no wonder you can't go out running in winter! Kudos for the fantastic weight losses in the past and for keeping it off so well for so long. That's a win right there even if you never lose another pound. But we know you will. I understand how hard…

@Spush, I know, I just *love* that film! Not to give anything away to others, but those hills on the way to and from collecting the teacher and then 'Where's the anti-christ?'. The whole thing is genius. I believe passing dairy is good for eczema, sure I've read that somewhere. I hope it brings you some relief. In fact,…

Isn't Yiddish 'Oi, oi, oi'? The South African version sounds more like 'iy, iy, iy' I suppose. If you haven't seen the film 'The Gods Must Be Crazy' do yourself a favour and try to get hold of it. Best film ever IMHO. It's G-rated too, and then you'll know aaaalll about how, and when, to say it ;)

Oh wow, that's amazing Dragon. *You're amazing*!!!

Hello Gorgeous Ladies <3 @Ellen I’m sorry to hear of your disturbed sleep, that’s no fun at all, and not so good for weight results either. I’m doing dreadfully on the weight loss front so I’ll share the award with you of ‘Gains or Maintains With Consistency’ *groan*. @MeMaawRebecca I hope you’re settling back in with LC…
