I egg, 2 egg whites, sauteed mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomato (or whatever), sprinkle of cheese = terrific omelette. Chicken stir fry, grilled fish with lemon and seasonings, low fat cottage cheese, tuna and crackers. I shoot for a protein and a veg. My few carbs come natural in the veggies.

Sometimes diabetics are hungry when their sugar is high, because their body can't get energy from it due to lack of insulin. I would start tracking your blood sugars along with exercise and diet, then you can figure out your optimum level of carbs to feel your best.
