There are 28g in 1oz. You can be more accurate if you use grams.

This paper is bound to cause confusion. A central issue is what replaces saturated fat if someone reduces the amount of saturated fat in their diet. If it is replaced with refined starch or sugar, which are the largest sources of calories in the U.S. diet, then the risk of heart disease remains the same. However, if…

The question you have to ask is are you really getting all your nutritional needs in. Are you eating enough protein? Are your fat levels high enough for proper hormone production? Do you get all your vitamins and minerals you need? If your answers are yes and your energy is good, I don't think you need to worry. If they…

Are you weighing and measuring all your food Are you using MFP burns for your biking? If so you may be under counting your cals and over counting your burns, making it look like you aren't eating enough food.

I find a glass of buttermilk with some salt and pepper to be quite an easy and satisfying treat.

Which do you like better? Are you willing to fit it in your cals? You have answered your question.

Water soluble vitamins such as the B's will turn your urine darker of you have more than needed in your system. Just as an example of a time the color of your urine would be a bad indicator.

I feel it is prudent to drink water if you feel hungry, because thirst is often mistaken for hunger, but beyond that, drink when you are thirsty, or after you have exerted yourself for a sustained period of time, or after a fast like when you first wake in the morning. I don't feel it is something worth worrying about,…

Pork belly..... You have missed out!!!

Sodium can cause short term water weight gain. What concerns me is that 1 burrito took most of your daily cals. Was this a 1000 cal burrito or are your cals set extremely low?

Will you count cals on it? Will it put you in a deficit? Will it give you enough food to keep from killing small animals for food? Can you see yourself eating this way for the long haul? If you answer no to any of the above than my answer is no it is not legit.

I like to have almonds or walnuts on hand. They are filling have a good nutrient/ macro profile and I like them well enough, but I won't eat them mindlessly like I would with peanuts, pistachios, cashews, or sunflower seeds.

I take niacin and used to love that flush, I don't get it anymore. :disappointed:

I understand that. What we want you to understand is that it is the deficit and not the clean eating that makes you lose weight. Conversely if you eat "dirty" and still have a deficit you will still lose. Eating clean or whole foods is great for getting in micro nutrients, but beyond your needed nutrient levels there is no…

Just like the meth addict the only solution is exercising self control. There is just no getting around that, I don't care what addiction you compare it to.

Your first few threads were informative at first. What is getting you the hostility is you continue to ask the same question in different words. People are tired of telling you the same answer. You can only expect people to explain things nicely a few times. After that they begin to feel you are just flat out refusing to…

If there is only positive feed back how will you know if something is a good idea or not. It's the balance of positive and negative feed back that gives perspective on a subject. It is actually quite childish to want only positive reinforcement.
