  • It's great :) but it's no quick fix, you can lose about a pound a week. You need to stick to 500 cals on fast days and no you can't eat back exercise calories. If you want to count calories on normal days then you need to work out your TDEE and that's the number of calories you can have on a non-fast day
  • [/quote] MFP recommends OVER 1200 for a reason, because less than that deprives your body of vital nutrients. The quality of food is irrelevant if you aren't eating enough of it. 9lbs in two weeks is mostly water weight. IF is a sustainable eating schedule for those who do it correctly. The way you're using it is…
  • Mine is open if anyone wants to see, not strictly 500 at the moment. Easing my way in and still finding recipes and meal ideas. Just found out about bare naked noodles which are 8cal per serving so perfect for restricted days
  • Finding it hard to get out there due to work, the last thing I want to do after a 12 hour day or night shift is go running! And I don't think my legs would take it ha!
  • I did this before my 10k run but only made it to week 2! Then started training my own way. Defo up for doing it again
  • Here is an image from the British national formulary which we use to calculate patients dosages. Although I would not advise taking more than the recommended dose on the box without seeking professional help
  • If raw is more calories I use that. Better be overestimating than under. Easier to weigh raw too as you can put the pan on the scales and shove everything in!
  • I am terrible at drinking, there's been days where the only fluid I've drank is the milk on my breakfast cereal! Now I fill a 1.5l bottle of water and aim to drink that every day. I know it's not as much as the recommended 2L but I'm peeing like a trooper as it is ha! If you're super thirsty even after drinking 2L I would…
  • Here's the nutritional info from the website http://your.morrisons.com/Market-Street/Nutritional-Information/?type=1&category=Fresh+to+Go&PageIndex=1
  • Those who are saying don't log little bites be careful. I had 3 jelly babies today which I was shocked to discover had nearly 70 calories. Add another 3 and you've hit 140cal, things slowly add up and mindlessly "biting" can be dangerous to weight loss.
  • 30g porridge oats 50g frozen berries 150ml almond or coconut alpro All bunged together in a bowl in the microwave. Overnight oats is a good way to have porridge oats aswell, not sure of the quantities as not had them in a long time but used to use oats, natural yoghurt and tinned peach slices, sometimes a few raisins…

  • Passata and chopped tomatoes are low calorie. Add in wholewheat pasta, spinach, onions, peppers and a choice of meat. Usually lower in calories than you'd expect. I do use smaller portions of certain things than the recommended size but I'm still full up afterwards. Eg I use 50g uncooked pasta where as the packet says 75g…
  • I read somewhere that you shouldn't be using calories burned at work as that should be in you activity level, ie sedentary, light activity etc. How do you measure calories burned at work?
  • I've decided to do 2 classes per week at the gym with one or two runs a week too. Starting next week as I'm doing the Manchester 10k on Sunday! Probably will only get to do one of each a week but at least it's something! Any tips on how to get motivated and willpower?!
  • I work on a busy paediatric ward. I put on "map my walk" one average nightshirt and it told me I walked 15km and burned 1000 calories. I don't admit to any calories burned during shift I just average my calorie intake over the week and only add properly measured exercise like a run. I aim to eat less calories than my basal…
