I always order or ask for a child serving or senior (since I AM old :( ). The ridiculous servings that restaurants give are never going to work for me. Most times I don't even eat that.

I real like fried foods and I have a fryer at home but I always worry about how I estimate the calories on it. Any ideas?

I love to use zucchini, yellow squash and carrot. Use the peeler and make "ribbons" on them, mist them with oil olive, salt and pepper then roast. It is so, so, so good.

Think I'm going to have a grilled Pork chop, sautéed mushroom on top (misted oil olive, just enough to be able to cook), and a whole, huge plate of steamed broccoli, squash, cauliflower and maybe some carrot. I'm getting hungry just talking about it.

Are you actually logging accurately, by a kitchen scale by gram (preferred myself) or ounces for solids and by cups for liquids? How old/young are you? How tall are you? There are so many questions to ask.

No of us should compare based on so many variables. I'm old, small framed, and skinny fat. It's all a different reason for all of us. Sure, it's fun to share but what I really love is the support and good, bad and ugly laughing together.

I'm 5'6 (58 years old, it matters) with a SW of 161.5, CW of 122, and GW of 115 (just so I can have a 3 pound leeway at 118 or size 2US jeans). Scared to death about maintenance tho. :/

I usually prefer larger meals but I do snack when I'm really hungry (a small apple, half a pear, 10 sticks of pretzel, 2 Red Vines - just something, and smaller than 70-100 calories). As you say that Database is not giving your foods, I would recommend the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference Release 27. From what I read, you seem to be trying to use the scale and all, that's great. But, you have to be accurate (those little bits add up to a LOT of bits). Good luck and keep keeping :)

"Diets" do not work. Eat healthy, exercise and realize that CICO is the only thing that will work... period. BTW, in 3 days you may lose water. Not trying to be mean, just being real.
