Not for nothing, but depending on the age of the "kids", they may be breaking curfew. It may be worth your while to Google the ordinance in your town. I suppose being at the gym is better than other activities they could be doing at 2 am, but there are avenues to curb this, if you chose to.

Please don't be concerned about the therapist--let the therapist be concerned about seeing to you, that's what they've been trained to do. (And, what you are paying them to do.) Congrats for taking the step to take care of yourself by seeing a counselor, and I hope the person is a good fit for you!

Unsolicited advise is never welcome, but you could just ask: "Hey, what's up with the weight contest between us?" And then listen. It does sound like an uncomfortable situation, though. I hope it gets better.

This, and during trail races. I ran a 15k last fall--it had rained two days straight before the race. Me and everyone else are sliding all over the place in the mud on these narrow trails, and a woman had *two* large dogs and was trying to maneuver around and pass runners. I managed not to kick the dogs (thank the gods),…

The calories aren't bad (139 cal for 12 oz Coke), but the sugar... 36 g!

It sounds like OP has a team of professionals. If you're still here, OP, congrats for getting the resources you need. However, it's possible these forums are not what OP needs right now. We're all laymen here, not trained practioners, and clearly not helping in your particular situation. Best of luck with your weight loss…

^This--a thousand times, this. Your body doesn't know your agenda and is just doing its thing. The weight will come off, but it will take time and come in fits and starts. Good luck!

If it comes down to the eleventh hour, I also can gently recommend a corset or girdle. Do not ask me how I came upon this knowledge. Good luck!

In addition to stretching, you may want to research foam rolling. I find it reduces post-workout soreness tremendously.

I had the same problem when I started on this journey--I didn't want sweetener of any kind. My go-to is Jarrow whey protein powder, unflavored. That way, I can add the flavors (and sweeteners) I want and add it to whatever for a protein boost. (Including Kodiak cake mix, which I highly recommend, as well.)

Experiment complete with the Built Bars: My tasting partner and I are in agreement that there are no "bad" bars here, though the double chocolate flavor had that "burnt" taste that sometimes comes with chocolate protein bars. But the fruit-flavored bars were spot-on. The mint wasn't terrible. We both really liked the…

I got an email that The Cereal School will be back in stock on Wednesday: They said they changed their formula, which may not be a good thing (I didn't get to try any the first time around), and for 12 bags it's $2.50/each. BUT, each bag is 100 calories with 16 g protein, so I may take one for the team and place an order.…
