For peanut butter, I use the Jiffy to go, it is about 1.5 oz and a great when you don't have time to eat. I usually have an apple with it. Hard boiled eggs are my other quick fix. Since I love potatoes too, I boil a spud, add one hard boiled egg, 1tsp. olive oil and 1tsp. vinegar, salt pepper to taste and I am happy! Agree…

Agree, we all fall of the wagon every now and then. It is an exercise in denial not recording most of the food that is consumed during the day. There are people that are into eating healthy, and those that are into weight loss. In the end healthy eating leads to weight loss and feeling good. I realized today how much…

Panera breakfast today with chocolate brioche, chai latte, a third of a scone, a quarter of a cinnamon bun, yogurt parfait - almost 1000 calories for nothing - just grazing through the break room. I recorded - some of it...

Somebody brought Panera sweets and coffee for breakfast this morning, I had my cup of herbal tea, no sugar and no treats.

I ate a few tortilla chips with smidgens of bean dip and humus, one tbs of cherry cobbler, a bite of sweet bread with spinach dip, a Wasa bread calculated it all comes to about 400 calories, and I still hungry, go figure :(

Agree about adding good proteins, fat and complex carbs/fiber to diet.

I always look ridiculous in the gym, ugly tennis shoes, pants that fit poorly, old T shirts - too cheap to buy nice gym clothes!

Make sure your diet includes protein, that is really important in maintaining your muscle mass. I work with weights and do a lot of resistance exercise to tone muscles, dropped a couple of sizes but my weight is basically unchanged - although I am more energetic, and I feel "lighter". Muscles are more dense/heavier than…

Coffee with soy milk - just wasn't hungry!

I pre log my exercise, before going to the gym, then I tweak it as necessary. Didn't start doing for my diet yet, hard when I don't eat every day at the same time!

They brought lunch to the office, there was none left by the time I came to the break room - I was not happy - but secretly I was counting the calories that I did NOT ingest. So, the world is back in balance. As for throwing a slice of cheesecake - good for you! It is a learning process, next time you will not pick up the…

Great thread, lots of good suggestions despite a vague question. In case you are pre diabetic or diabetic (type 2, not on insulin), cutting sugars is a must. Start with reading labels and getting rid of foods that have corn syrup ( and there is lot of them around!). Limit your total carbs intake to about 120-140 gr/day and…

More power too you for this great idea! I think I will follow your example and just make picture of me in my bathing suit every month - not to publish it, just to motivate myself that slower weight loss is better and that I don't want to lose my muscles - just the darn fat! Congratulations!

Mon, Wed, Fri : 10 min cardio, alternating upper body+ arms, legs and core, squats and planks for 30 min The rest of the week I may go for an extra 30 min swimming or 20 min cardio session (as long as my joints don't hurt too bad) and walk the dog at least 3-4 times a week

Maybe you should go and see your doctor, just to make sure your body is doing fine. You should not be nauseated and feeling full from a small amount of food, like a yogurt parfait.

Love the way you put it - I get so inpatient to my own detriment. It is truly one day at a time!
