Any rise in the scale numbers we tend to always assume is a fat gain, In reality, fat is lost and gained at relatively slowly. For people on the leaner side(for heavier folks 2-3lbs is excessive) a half to 1 pound per week change in fat(Up or Down) will be all you can get. To gain 1-3 pounds of actual fat would mean you've…

It might be any area of weakness, try doing some work to strengthen the calf muscles, keep up the stretches and PNF calf stretches are an option and easily administered on yourself. Terry

Deal with the cause of stress? other than that its just a case of willpower

Weight trainng will build muscle, improve bone density and "sculplt" a body how you want it, Diet will drop body fat and Cardio is just as important as it'll strengthen the heart and increase your CV capacity so basically they all have their benefits just adjust the amount of each you focus depending on your short term and…

I love being a man just sayin... ;)

All full body plans for weight training on a basic level are aiming for progressive overload and hitting each muscle group to avoid imbalances. So aslong as you are increasing the weight/intensity/TUT etc and being consistent then you will progress. Terry

Try Stronglifts 5x5 or Ice Cream fitness 5x5 both very good beginner full body programs Definitely get advice or read up on correct form(especially for Deadlifts and squats) and keep the weight light until the form is bang on :)

Its much more prevalent than I expected among the general gym going public, especially Clenbuterol, Anavar etc. Worst part is its cheaply bought online alot of the time, no idea on quality, dosage, and side effects.

How often do men comment on your height? everyday? You must have awesome legs though ;)

haha ^^ they loved the mirror too much

no! hehe

strong lifts is good and easy to follow depends on how frequently you attend the gym? for example lifting 5 days a week would mean you'd likely have to split your sessions into muscle groups to allow recovery while once or twice a week would mean you could use a more "full body" program

Pretty much covered what I was going to say bar maybe upping the daily calories slightly and see if that helps, but to be honest running a marathon is tough on the body and physiologically some are better suited to it than others so marathon prep varies massively person to person.

Thank you :)

A drastic gain like that is unlikely to be all fat gain, the Pill has probably affected your hormone levels and made you retain more water, on top of that cortisol is produced when you get stressed and guess what cortisol does?? causes you to retain water!. Keep being consistant with the food tracking and exercise and you…

I think the speed at which it was put on also plays a part, If you gained a lot during pregnancy for example that could compound the issue

How do you fit in your clothes? body fat seem lower? look better naked?? feeling stronger? these are all way more important than the number on the scale. :)

Very nice positive thread, I don't have much to contribute specifically but its enlightening to read the posts :)

double post oops

You should take body measurements, you can lose fat but gain weight so you either lose or stay the same on the scales, your weight can vary by 10lbs just purely based on water retention which can be affected by what type of food you have eaten, menstrual cycles, stress levels, sodium intake. the scale weight is not…

Fantastic job, especially as you haven't had much loose skin as a lot of women need expensive surgery after all their hard work. I think its probably down to a case of slow weight gradually over a few years and slow patient gradual weight loss. The muscular gains would help somewhat too
