  • That I don't have time to exercise. That I'm just not motivated this time around (baby #3). The truth is motivation is not a thing for me. Just logging and exercising as a habit is what I need to do, not rely on motivation That I'm too tired to worry about it because my baby doesn't sleep through the night.
  • Actually got up and worked out during the baby's nap even though I really didn't want to.
  • He dropped TO 70. Meaning 70 kg was his end weight. I think he would be dead if he'd dropped 70 kg.
  • I would consider a video. I really like the kettlbell kickboxing videos but there are a ton of options.
  • I also eat if I'm frustrated. I didn't realize how connected emotions and food are for me until recently when I realized as soon as one of my kids started throwing a tantrum I started looking for candy.
  • This time last year I was hugely pregnant and uncomfortable. I've had a really hard time losing the weight. I've lost about 15 lbs after the initial loss through hard work with 15 still to go. I don't know why I haven't been motivated this time around but I'm glad I've at least lost what I have lost.
  • True. That's not living. Have you thought of joining an addiction recovery group?
  • Congratulations!
  • I know it's frustrating. Losing the baby weight is annoying. I try to remind my self that if I hadn't lost it all the first time around I would have 60 to lose instead of 25 so it really was worth it to lose it. And this time I can keep it off. And when I carry my baby around I think about how much easier it will be to do…
  • What is your height and goal weight?
  • Not alone. I want to change my body shape so empire waists and wrap tops aren't the only thing that look good on me. :)
  • i too get overwhelmed by all the advice. I do a workout video at home called Kettlebell Kickboxing for my exercise. I like that because I can just follow along doing what she does and I don't have to figure out the exercises on my own. And for diet I eat what I want to eat, just less and over time I start eating healthier…
  • Yep. And it is really hard for some reason this time. I had my 3rd baby and for some reason this time I haven't been able to motivate myself. Maybe because I have to keep losing the same 30 lbs. :( but I just got serious and I am going to do it again. I've done it before but it won't happen if I don't work for it.
  • Clothes that fit and make me feel good every 5 lbs. I never buy clothes or go shopping bc I'm on a pretty strict budget so this is an awesome reward!
  • She is ridiculous. I am 5'6" weigh 158 and am trying to lose weight and I'm not too thin.
  • CW: 158 GW: 130 H: 5'6" Age: 28
  • I recommend the Kettlebell Kickboxing videos. I just don't want to waste my free time away from kids on working out so I do these videos at home and I love them.
  • You might want to at least do a session with a trainer to teach you how to do some weight lifting otherwise it can be a little overwhelming and intimidating. Alternatively you can look for some weightlifting videos or routines online.
  • I'm on a calorie diet of 1810 calories. I also want to lose 30 lbs but mine is almost 7 months old.
  • Non-replies can work well to not escalate until you can think of a way to change the subject. Hmmm Oh, really? That's interesting. You think so?
  • Pre-logging is helpful. So is forcing yourself to log it even if you're going to go over your calories. Don't beat yourself up about it but do log it. Enough times of seeing you will weigh 4 lbs more in 5 weeks if everyday is like today might make you put the snack back eventually.
