  • Not sure what you're asking here.
  • You keep making me want mac and cheese!!! But I never have just a little, I eat the whole box. And I think character mac and cheese tastes the best... for whatever psychological reason.
  • That sounds really cool. I hope you have a great time. I was just looking into derby yesterday, I don't know if my local league does that. See I want to play but not compete ^_^;
  • I'm curious, what is the bootcamp?
  • I like exercise classes :) I've never had a BAD one; I've had ones I'm not that into and don't do again, but really I think that's just learning about myself. I've done spin, pilates, yoga, zumba, kick boxing, step.... the instructors speak to the class. It's not like in TV shows where one person (usually the main…
  • Seems good to me. Just be sure you don't double count exercise. By that, I mean if you are factoring those 3 times a week into "lightly active" then don't log them as separate workouts too :)
  • I read this yesterday, before my own "blow out" and at first I wasn't going to log. But I kept remembering this post. And yeah, it was bad. I think total of 2800 calories yesterday. But I think it was good for me to log. I'll just conduct myself differently this week to make up for it
  • Hi! It depends on how much you have to lose to start with. It's hard for any of us to say the possibility let alone the plausibility. I want to lose 20 pounds by late May. I'm 160 now, so it is POSSIBLE, but I know myself and I know it's not so plausible. (I had Chili's tonight XP). I'm just planning to track, exercise,…
  • I can't really compare, but it is hard. I see some much heavier people posting a loss of a couple pounds a week, and I'm happy to lose 1. I also focus a lot on exercise, because 1390 calories a day is not much :( But a half hour on the elliptical watching TV at the gym gets me an extra 300 calories to eat! I also feel like…
  • Well, from what I've noticed in mine, it depends on things like sugar and fat in addition to just calories. For example, if I eat normal, healthy food totaling 1500 calories and I go to Chili's and end up with 1500 calories, my projection will not be the same for the two days.
  • The projection acknowledges that not all calories are created equal- so if you're only 20 calories below goal, yet those calories are all "junk" food, or perhaps high in sodium as the other person suggested, the projection will acknowledge that. I think I've only had it actually say I'll gain weight when I've gone over…
  • 5'7" SW ~ 167. My current goal weight is ~140. I'd reaaaally like to be closer to 135, but I think 140 is a good goal, and it's really not too far from 135. CW 160 (was 157 in early November when I stopped counting soooo... not too bad I think).
  • It depends for me. I really don't eat many fruits and vegetables, so I try to get myself to eat more by not always logging them. However, if it is a "substantial amount" such as an apple/banana for a snack, or a side of veggies (so not just the half an onion I used in an entire dish) I log it roughly. To account for this…
  • Random question- Do any of you notice a taste difference between white and black sesame seeds?
  • Mine has lowered when I logged a lower weight.
  • It adjusts as you lose weight, because as you lose weight, it will take a greater calorie deficit to keep you losing at your selected rate ( like 1 pound/ week). That being said, when mine changed, it went from 1,420 to 1,400. So not a huge change. But I only have about 20 pounds to lose. Did you change any other settings?
  • It's tough posting when you have the android app :( Any-who, first bento for this site. Garlic chicken sausage, rice, broccoli, carrots and some pickles. 383 cals. Was very yummy, first time I tried the sausage.
  • Thanks all!
  • Walking is so good! Some days I'm too lazy to go to the gym, so I usually make myself go for a walk. If you have a smartphone, you can find podcasts to listen to so it ends up being pretty entertaining. Also, when you're working on keeping the house in order, a little can go a long way! For example, (not house cleaning,…
  • Love seeing what you guys post! With my classes right now, I eat meals at home so no need for a bento this semester :( Used to do it though, and love seeing these creations! (plus all the bento boxes; they just seem so much more elegant than a brown bag and ziplocks)
  • This is something I do. For example, when I make a dish (in this case, one I've been having routinely), I count almost all of it. Except onions. They're so low in calories, I don't bother weighing them out. Ham, potatoes, cheese all get weighed. But with veggies I'm more lenient (cause I didn't get fat off of too many…
  • Actually 1420 is with a 1pound/week goal ^-^;;
  • I eat toast with peanut butter and milk, then about an hour and a half later I go to the gym. I weigh my food, not pregnant. Was mainly curious why I'd suddenly be hungry when the meal pattern has been working for me so far. Having trouble adding protein! Lacking creativity, I suppose.
  • Well I just tried a recipe import and had a similar problem. I ended up going through and editing with the barcode on the ingredients I used. The biggest offender, MFP imported white sugar as brown sugar, so I switched that (just by searching), but the sugar calories seemed high, so I ended up using the barcode method for…
  • Thanks for all the replies! I got a Jawbone Up Move, so hopefully it can tell me accurately what the heck I'm doing.
  • I work at a pizza place so have a hard time eating meals at proper times. One thing that helps me a lot is chugging some water. Like others have posted, bring a little something to munch on. That plus water will go a long way too curbing the hunger.
