  • Hopefully the food scale will help. I only weigh once a week, because I hate to see the daily fluctuation. I usually tell myself that fat weighs less than muscle and that is why I did not lose. Keep up the hard work!
  • I love my scale. It comes with a book so I can look up items. https://www.amazon.com/Greater-Goods-Nourish-Portions-Nutritional/dp/B00O5U4NDQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505333506&sr=8-1&keywords=food+scale+with+nutritional+calculator What activity level setting do you have? I have mine at Sedentary because I have a step…
  • I have been on here for a long time off and on. A few things I wish I would have known in the beginning. 1. Adding Friends Helps A Lot (feel free to add me) 2. Always log, even when you go over. 3. Most everyone is here to help, ask for it if you need it. This is where more friends comes in! 4. It is not all about the…
  • Not sure if there are any health related benefits (sorry I did not read all of the previous comments) to this tea but I think it is yummy. Passion Tea Lemonade - Starbucks Brand I brew the tea, add fresh lemon juice and some stevia. Let cool in the refrigerator, serve over ice. It does not taste like tea, but if you are…
  • The only thing I have heard against Stevia is if you are using Truvia. It still has Stevia in it, but there is other stuff as well that will spike blood sugars in diabetics. (I bought it for my MIL because she is diabetic, and quickly replaced it after learning this) Organic Stevia has been tested and does not have the…
  • I agree with the other posts that mention they are high in calories. I usually get the 100 calorie packs, or portion them out when I first get them. Natural is supposed to be better for you (not sure where I read this)
  • For my fiber intake, I track my Whole Grains separately. The daily suggested is 48g. Triscuit/23g per serving - paired with Laughing Cow cheese wedges - YUM! Kashi Autumn Wheat/50g per serving - it is so much better than shredded wheat. Can be used as a snack. Belvita Breakfast Biscuits/20g per serving Dave's Killer Bread…
  • Still going strong. I said I was not going to drink during the week, and last week I had a couple of drinks on Saturday. Made a better decision about what to drink as well. Vodka, Soda, and fresh lime juice. I feel much better not drinking. Hopefully we do not have any plans this weekend, so I can go a complete week…
  • Good job! When I am not drinking alcohol I drink water out of my wine glass. Makes me get up more to refill the glass and there is something about drinking from a wine glass or cute coffee cup i love. I like your name. I love to knit and quilt, tried to crochet but I always go back to knitting.
  • Put your info up and join in!!
  • Not sure if I agree with the rest of our lives we will have to count calories. Just like anything we have to learn what works for us and what does not. Counting calories works for me, that is why I do it. I never eat until I am full anymore, it makes me feel awful and uncomfortable. I don't think it is healthy, but before…
  • I can't do ginger. Tried the ginger candy when I had a headache, it helped the headache but it was awful. Never again.
  • The weekends are always tough. You need to figure out a balance so you can still enjoy the weekend festivities. Come up with a plan that works for you, if it is not working, try again. This is a learning experience and you need to figure out what works for you. Eat healthy on the weekdays, but allow yourself some wiggle…
  • I agree with the previous replies recommending new running shoes. They will be spendy but they are so worth it. For work, look up shoes that podiatrists recommend. There will probably not be anything on there with a heel. I think Clarks are approved, but it has been awhile since I looked.
  • I have not heard anything about a "ACV Diet" I would be interested in hearing more. I used to drink it in the morning and at night. 1 tsp with a cup of water. I found that it was beneficial for me because the first thing in the morning I was doing something to focus on my goals and my health. I don't think there was a…

  • I want in!! Who picks what house I am in? If I get Lady Lannister I will kill myself off so the Targaryans win!
  • I agree with @wellnesschaser it is their own issues that is causing them to react that way. Even though it is geared toward you, it has nothing to do with you. Sounds like you were polite in that situation as well. Good for you! I am not so good at holding my tongue when someone brings negativity. Sounds like you need a…
  • It does get difficult, but the results are worth it. I know it will sound boring, but I eat a lot of the same foods over and over. So instead of putting everything in separately, I just copy the meal from the previous day. If there are a few things different you can delete items, and add new ones. Makes it a lot faster for…
  • You can add me.
  • I would suggest asking for friends on MFP that have similar goals. It is fun and you can get a lot of ideas from other peoples food logs.
  • I sent you a friend request so you could see my diary. I also put my favorite things to make within the 1200 calorie limit. I did forget to mention that my favorite snack is hard boiled egg whites. (I don't like the yoke so it is perfect for me) If you do like the yokes, one hard boiled egg is still under 100 calories. I…
  • I am glad you asked because I had no idea either. Hang in there, it sounds like you are trying and even if you don't see the results on the scale right now, know that they will come. I agree with a previous comment suggesting measuring. Keep up the good work!
  • Looks like everyone loves Garmin here. Never tried them. I love my Polar Loop for steps. The Polar Loop 2 has an option of a chest strap HRM. I was looking at those recently. You can also just get the HRM and the app to track from your phone. My Polar Loops Syncs with MFP. I will be interested to see what you pick!
  • I recently decided to stop drinking during the week. I feel a lot better through the week, and the beer is better on the weekend because I REALLY enjoy it! I was drinking coors light and I noticed bloating from it. I switched to Michelob Ultra Amber on the weekends, and do not notice the belly bloat the next day.
  • Does it have to be a smartwatch? Are you wanting something that tells you about test messages, etc...
  • No one will laugh at you. Everyone is there for there own goals. The only time I have ever laughed was when my mom passed gas in yoga. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. How to get over your nervousness? You will have to suck it up and just go. Once you do that, it will be easier the next time! I don't think people go…
