So, I have suffered from GERD for quite some time. I tried taking pepcid for several months and also panteprozol. But I didn't want to be on panteprozol long term because I have concerns about it absorbing certain nutrients. Also, while being on PPI's or H2Blockers would help my stomach and esophageus heal, I felt like it…

I can relate to this. My husband is an tall, and has an active job. Making his average maintenance calories somewhere around 3000. Meanwhile I'm short, and not very active making my maintenance calories around 1600. I have to remind myself that his calorie requirements differ from mine. While I maxed mine out at dinner,…

There's a ton on great suggestions in here already. I was just going to add- how's your protien and fiber through the rest of the day? I find if I start my day with enough protien escpecially, I am not as hungry and raveneous when I get home for the evening. It's easier to get started on dinner without wanting to inhale…

Worth it. More accurate counts AND it's even a time saver. Why go get a measuring cup when I can just tare it out and take straight from the contianer.

After a few months long haitus to calorie counting and working out, I got on the bandwagon again to avoid gaining back everything I lost. In doing so, I also got my husband to download MFP and start couting his calories too!

Kind of made it up as I went along. But my base recipie is equal oats to liquid, then toppings. So for these it was 1/3c oatmeal, 1/3(ish i eyeballed it) cashew milk, about 1tbs vanilla protien powder, handful of rasperries, 1 tsp sweetner (I used white chocolate sauce). and a 1 tbs white chocolate chips. They were a…

I've lost my wagon... If anyone sees it let me know. I think it's buried under a month's worth of Christmas Cookies.

Today on another episode of "*kitten* I'm craving and shouldn't have". I was a good girl (so far) and ate my white chocolate raspberry overnight oats. (Which were bomb btw). But I forgot about Monday morning donuts... A) I have a mild yeast allergy and shouldn't eat them. B ) I actually want to at least break even for the…

This site focuses primarily on the calorie content and the macros for the day. Sometimes the counter will tell you "this food is high in vitamin c" or "this food is high in saturated fat". But the overall focus around here is not so much how much "good" vs "bad" food you eat, but weather or not those foods fit into your…

I'm not sure about a generic multivitamin. They probably in general aren't nessecary. But I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's about a year back. Since my thyroid levels weren't bad enough to warrant thyroid meds, I was told to start taking selenium. I notice a marked difference when I take my selenium vs when I'm not. I've…

One thing that helped me was to sit down with myself and really hash out my goals. What do I really want out of weight loss? What is fitness going to do for ME? "Look hot" "Lose that extra padding" "Work out cuz it's healthy for me" have never been very motivating goals for me. Like I could look hot later.. OR have that…

It's October. We bought Halloween candy "for the kids" while the selection is still good. It is still in my pantry unopened. But I'm not going to lie. It calls my name every day. I'm hoping to last at least another two weeks before I crack it open, lol.

Another take: Are all meals like this? Or just when you're super hungry? If it's due to being hungry, maybe eat a low cal snack an hour or so before your meal to avoid getting too hungry and wolfing your food down. If it's every meal, then the other suggestions are stuff I would have come up with as well, lol. Savoring…

I've been kind of thinking the same thing... Maybe even the Mods were told it's going away and the folks in IT are just sitting there like:
-
woo count 506!

Oh yeah browned butter would probably work! This might be a good option to do, so I don't have to go out and buy something special that I may not use for anything else. I think I will make it ahead though and just add it as a flavor enhancer. I'm not confident enough to brown butter over a campfire with the inconsistant…

That's interesting... I see the recipie asks specifically for sticky rice. Is there a difference between that and white rice? I always thought sticky rice was simply made by preparing white rice a certain way... now I'm uncertain.

We also like to change up the candy bars. Haven't had reeses, but I have had hershey's cookies and cream, and skor bars. Yum.

I've always wanted to try these, and suspect this is the outcome. However I wonder if some of the darker pigmented peeps would have the dye flavor come through? Not sure. I am not a peep fam myself, but I think I would like them if they were skewered and roasted over an open flame.

So the "new and improved" dislike button will be interesting... How many of us will be wondering "Why did they dislike that?!! That was sound advice". I always got woo'd for really wierd things. Like just recently someone woo'd me for telling someone to put vinegar in thier wash for stinky clothes... or for admitting I…
-
I think you're on the right track with vinegar and baking soda. A cup of vinegar in the was is usually my go to if we forgot a load and it got stinky. I would imagine it would work for sweat.

Neither dangerous or healthy. It's fine to drink if you wish, but not nessecary to performance or health. If it gives you an extra boost in energy to get through that AM workout, go for it. Personally I feel like the excersise itself is almost as good as coffee... Almost. So for me coffee after is optimal, lol.

That looks like chili sauce to me?
-
Bahaha! I keep doing the same, lol. Did I woo that?? Ope, yep sure did. Better woo that back,
-
I just had those for dinner last night!

I have way too much fun searching for relevant pics on the interwebz....
