I'm working with a nutritionist and we keep the same calories but she adds a new food each week. Sometimes she will e-mail me my plan and I'll see the food and think I can't do that. Right now it's oatmeal and almonds! Eeeks....I feel like cheating and not eating them. I'm just so scared that I'll gain tons of weight if I…

I agree.....media has a bit part in it.

It was fun to change things up but kina hard on my ears if you use the floor instead of mats.

I'm going to have to watch those. I think I'm missing something in the conversation without know about those. =)

Thanks guys. I think if a choice is smack in front of my face and comparable in price, say apples, I'll go organic, but after reading these posts I see no reason to go all out. Yay!

I have the same problem. The nights I think I'm going to be restless I take a benadryl to help me sleep. Also, I've tagged a few ok foods to eat if I'm hungry (vegetables, an apple, diet hot cocoa). My goals though is to stop doing this completely because it is just a habit.

If you like you could pm me everyday or the group and tell us how you are doing. I think I might post before I want to binge and see what people have to say maybe to get me out of it.

I totally do that too. I good all day then like sleep eat or something. So frustrating.

I usually go with the same friend and he knows I take most of the rice out of the rolls. By the end of the night I have heaping hill of white rice lol. I can only do this around him. He thinks its funny. I also love seared salmon and sashimi which has no rice. I also eat edaami and ebi (sweet shrimp) without the rice.…

I just compared the fries to Walmart's potato wedges because that entry had them by how many. I roughly counted 10 on your plate. That would make them about 500 calories and the peas about 50.

What does the steak pic consist of? I'm sure we can estimate the peas and the fries but probably need a bit more information on the steak pie. I've never heard of it.

Also I made a snack time in my class. I teach fifth grade, but if I'm hungry mid afternoon, I'm sure my students are too. We all have a snack and are much happier.

I'm a teacher as well. I couldn't imagine not having a break between lunch and time to go home. What if you have a protein drink handy that you can grab and drink on the playground. You can get some that even look like water or just have it in a coffee cup.

I actually love sushi paper. I used to eat the seasoned ones but looked at the ratio of fat to cals. At only 25 cals per package, 2.5 grams of fat seems high. I looked at the ingredients and its made with about 4 different oils. So I learned to just like plain old crunchy sea weed ha ha.

What is a pescetarian?

tmdpotts, I love mine cold too. I don't freeze them but love them straight from the fridge. Takes me longer to eat them too.

I have a really bad sweet tooth. I agree with the other post about it causing water retention. Often I do feel like I'm retaining water. If and when I want something sweet, if I don't have a low cal option like diet hot cocoa I usually end up making a bad choice and then eat too much of it.

One theory from Web MD is as follows "It may also be that people with very poor diets disproportionately drink diet sodas. Popkin calls this the “Big Mac and Diet Coke” mentality. “Especially in America, we have a lot of people who eat high-fat, high-sugar diets, but also drink diet sodas,” he says.

I just started a thread about this, people's experience with "fake sugars," as I too believed the studies that they cause weight gain. Everyone said in there experience the answer was they do not.
-
My vote is for apples too lol.
-
I see you mentioned grapes as as sub. This is only my experience with grapes. If I'm having a sugar craving and eat grapes I eat them and eat them and eat them lol. Grapes is one of the fruits that has more natural sugars in them. I feel better after eating my favorite apple, pink lady apples, I think because I get to…

Don't be embarrassed, but I know what you mean. Sometimes I will have this urge to uncontrollably eat and I hide it from everyone. To make you feel better, although not helpful, I bought myself and my roommate skinny cow ice cream bars. I had one with him after dinner. Then I woke up in the middle of the night and ate them…

There are a few lighter calorie versions at Trader joes like: The flax bread which has 5 grams protein per slice, 60 cals, fiber 3 and sugar 0. They have another one that is similar but 80 cals a slice. I also eat Dave's killer bread but it is 60 cals, 3 fiber, 2 grams sugar and 3 grams protein. I say trader joes.

Thank you everyone! First hand accounts are way better then convoluted studies in my opinion. I'll continue to use stevia then and chew occasional gum. I don't drink carbination or sodas at all. I just consume diet cocoa, stevia, some artificial sweetened coffee additives and that's about it. Yay! I was hoping to hear what…

I am on them and have been trying to find the right one. I am on one right now that is notorious for Since this summer and trying a few I actually lost weight and went down to 102. I've been slowly trying to build my muscle up again and when I'm hungry I have lots of veggies, diet cocoa, gum, get involved in another…

I like quest because they taste great, are low in sugar and are lower in cals than most. They have a ton of flavors too.
