  • See your Doctor and let him/her set your calorie count for you. Something is not adding up. I don't know how you can even exist on 500 calories. You lost the 50 lbs so you know how to do this. So do it again. MFP has all the tools you need to do this. Just give it a try.

  • I eat protein bars for the health (yeah right) really for the candy bar like taste. I have tried Balance Bars, but they are 200 calories. But lately I have been eating Fiber One Protein Bars---140 calories and 6 gms protein. They are a quick go-to snack or breakfast replacement. My favorite is the Caramel Nut Chewy Bars.
  • I agree with others - 1/2#to a maximum of 2# per week is more attainable and healthier. Twenty pounds is extreme for one month. When you start eating more calories after you body is used to less, I believe you will gain.

  • Balance bars are good also. They are 200 calories and loaded with protein & fiber. They have a nice selection of flavors. I get mine at Kroger where they are 10 for $10.
  • My favorite yogurt is Yoplait Light. I like vanilla yogurt with chopped strawberries. If you have a Keurig there are so many yummy choices. I like English Toffee Cappucino & mint hot chocolate. And of course the flavored rice cakes such as caramel & chocolate.

  • I weight & measure my food. If I eat chips or salty snacks, I actually count out the amount the bag says is a serving. This helps tremendously and sometimes it surprises my how large the serving is. Try it! Also, I don;t allow myself to get really hungry. If I do, it's a sure sign I will overeat.
