For me it was the clear understanding of the magic word "calorie deficit". You have to burn more than you consume to see a weight loss. I track my calorie burned in a day using my fitness monitor. I track my calorie consumed using MFP. If I see a deficit, I know I will like the result. Another thing that works for me is…

I got a Garmin vivofit for around $95 from target on Feb 1st of this year. I wear it the entire day. It is water proof. Tracks total steps taken, converts it to miles, calorie burned, tracks sleep which I really don't care for. I like the weekly challenge it puts me in, which motivates me to get that many steps in by the…

Thanks for the reminder about the weigh in tomorrow

Just for tomorrow - Wednesday 03/11: 1) I won't eat the food that is left behind in their plate by my kids. 2) won't do taste testing while cooking. 3) try to jog for at least 20 mins on the treadmill.

Have two more days left to the finish line. Last few days are really hard. 95-100 squats - is hard. But "yes I can and will". Anyone else finished?

My first day here. I am fairly new to MFP. Have been using it for the past 5 weeks. Saw progress the first few weeks. But last week and half has been pretty frustrating. I am eating right (I think so) excersising at least 45 mins 5 times a week, scale shows different story. Just for today: 1) I won't step on that scale. 2)…

I have Garmin vivofit - paid around $100 at target and I love it. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in your tracker. I wanted something that looks like a wrist watch and displays my progress on the screen not just on my phone. Its pretty easy to operate. I am pretty happy with its accuracy. More than…

I am on day 14 today. I do notice change in my waist line. It went down 5" to date. And these workouts are getting easier to perform.
-
On day 9 - rest day. Day 8 was bit difficult with 60 squats
-
Day 3 done. Sit ups are bit hard, but I like the challenge. I am doing these in addition to my 10,000 step goal.

I will give it a try☺️
