As a college student: Every morning I have a meal protein bar and its actually a bit of a struggle because they keep me so full, that I do t get hungry. Also Im big on the sugar and carbs in the morning to help me stay energized. Here are some of my favorites: -Lenny and Larrys Complete Cookie (360cal) -Big 100 Cookie…

Im a vegetarian, and have been for over 6 years and everyday I eat a protein bar. I also eat a lot of produce such as greek yogurt, and egg whites. (When I make french toast, I add soo much egg whites that the toast is crispy and coated in delicious scrambled egg) I hit my recommended protein intake daily, sometimes I even…

Because I have classes from dawn to dusk I have a meal protein bar and coffee. It totals to about 400 calories. I do this because I dont get hungry throughout the day, and Im very active, so I try to eat calorie dense foods :) As for lunch I usually have vegetables and crackers/pretzels and for dinner I eat out or at home…

This makes sense. I had a bowl of cereal for dinner. It was filling at the time, but now Im sad

Your body does get use to eating so little. You would have to gradually up your calories at a really slow pase or else youd get sick or gain weight or both
-
Ive been doing this for a year and i still dont understand this question.
-
Diet soda does it for me

Hi there! Im a sophomore and I became more active when I purchased a step/activity tracker! It really motivates me to walk everywhere I go. So instead of taking the elevator at school or taking the short cut to my car, I take the longer path and run up/down stairs. As for food, I pack my lunches. theres a ton of healthy…

Yes I agree 100%. it's all about the math. Its been almost 365 days for me and Ive lost 50 pounds. Ive maintained now for 4ish months as well thanks to counting calories, working out and making sure I dont have a deficit or I dont over eat. Its so simple yet some people keep on making excuses.
-
Don't give up. It all boils down to diet. If you eat more than you burn at the gym then you wont lose weight. You dont have to workout or even eat healthy to lose weight. Chances are you are overestimating the calories burned at the gym and as a result you eat more.
-
Your skipping over some questions asked by some posters. Are you weighing all of your food? What is your weekly deficit? Do the math. If its too high you wont lose weight. If it's too low and your not weighing all of your food, then your not creating a deficit.

Unless you have a hard time controlling what you put in your mouth, you dont have to exercise to lose weight.

Hi! I started out February of last month at 5'1 I weight 150 lbs. I lost those 50 pounds in 7 months and Ive maintained at 100 pounds for about 5 months now.

Course of 7 months.

Yes, for me maintenance was the most difficult part of losing weight. Not because I couldnt count calories or exercise frequently, but because I had a fear of weight gain(which is natural-you gain about 5/10 pounds when you switch to maitenance). But it gets better :) So dont worry! You can do this!

ive had reflux and ulcers but more because of my crummy diet haha

Thanks so much for everyones comments! I learned a lot. I think I got caught up in comparing myself to others, even though I know doing so is pointless. I really appreciate your responses. Overall I need to learn to be more gentle on myself. :)

Thank you for educating me! I didn't know what skinny fat was in all honesty.
-
And after I spend so much time bringing up others too. I know this I just get too caught up in comparing myself with fitness people on tumblr and instagram. Also I just always thought that there was two kinds of thin: fit/lean and skinny fat. I figured I was skinny fat.
-
Well according to bod fat percentage calculaters online it says im 25% bf. Wouldnt that be considered too much?
-
I love my grades and job so Im good in that department xD

Its not worth the calories to me to be honest. How many calories is a donut? 280-300? I can have egg whites with veggies and cheese and a side of fruit with those calories and it fills me tenfold. And as a sweet treat I just have some hot chocolate or some coffee with a biscotti. I dont know, cutting the junk cold turkey…

-Oatmeal with yogurt and fruit -A yogurt parfait with nuts, granola and some frozen berries -An english muffin with peanutbutter and a side of fruit -A toasted english muffin with an egg, toasted deli turkey and some cheese! (I add tomato yum!) -Avocado Toast -Quest Bar and a side of your choosing(hard boiled egg, or…

Hi there! I am 5'1 and weight 100 lbs When I dont workout my calorie goal is 1300-1500. On days when I work out just cardio I eat around 1780/1800 calories. Then in days with cardio+ sports, weights or vigorous activity I eat about 2000 calories :)
-
Everyone is different, I dont think you should schedule your weightloss based on someone else's success.
-
yea thats why most people exercise, to be able to eat more. i am 5'1, 100 lbs and my maintenance calores with no activity are 1400-1600. when i workout i eat between 1600-2000 calories.
-
Your just a person and so is everyone else. You should be proud to run in public whereas everyone else is too lazy to.

Online calculators can be extremely inaccurate. I would just recommend adding 100 calories a week to your budget until you start gaining again. Then subtract a hundred from your gaining limit. My online calculator said my weightloss calories were 1000 and my maintenance was 1300. Lol! I eat 1900 to maintain!
