There are a few nice features in premium and they have a 30 trial if you want to check it out, but in my opinion it is worth the money.

It depends on how much you are restricting your calories from what your body uses, 20 weeks is at half a pound per week and you can go up to 2 pounds per week which would be five weeks. The recommendation for maintainable weight loss is 1 pound per week though.

I’m 6’2” and started out at 305lbs. I personally would try 2500 calories and see how that works for you. That is close to your bmr ie how many calories you burn just living so it tends to be a safe sustainable starting point for most people. If you feel like you’re starving yoy can always add a few more calories or if…

You can definitely tell a difference, great job!

I'm the same as you in that I say thanks and leave it at that unless they ask specifics then I'll tell them more.

Hey a saw no one had commented on your post so thought I would at least give you something. I don't have any firm numbers to give you but a couple of points to consider. With strength training while losing weight you can expect your measurements to decrease even as you gain muscle. A pound of muscle takes up about a third…

Great job keep up your good work!

Good job, everyone has to start somewhere and most people here start by just trying to make logging a habit and then making changes to eat be healthier. So good work so far and keep at it!

I it also depends on you settings and how you are tracking your exercise. For example I have a Fitbit I use to track my exercise so I set my activity level to sedentary on mfp and I eat back about half of my exercise calories and have been steadily losing weight about on track. The reason I only eat half back is that Fit…

I'm not an expert and you may want to ask a doctor or lactation consultant but I would suggest finding out what your total daily energy expenditure (tdee) is roughly on a calculator like https://tdeecalculator.net and base you calories near what it says since it doesn't take into consideration the extra 500 calories you…

My next major mini goal is to get out of the obese range at 230 lbs., I'm just about to hit my current 240lb. goal this week, only half a pound to go.
-
When I took a break and came back with a weight gain I logged it for myself. When I'm actively restricting my calories I log my weight weekly on mfp and keep a daily log on my iPad. When I'm in a maintain mode I don't log small fluctuations one way or the other, since it could just be water retention or what not.

Yoyoghurt hit it one the head with there comment. Keep at it, get the tests done and move from there you are making the right changes to make a healthier you and remember you could also be gaining muscle as your losing fat so look for non scale changes.

I ageee with Ivo any changes you make should be for YOU and what's best for you and any other benefits are just extra. You do not owe it to your hubby to get fit. You have the right to be angry, any man should support his wife unconditionally because that is what love is. I can tell you without a doubt in my mind I would…

The best advice I can give is to lose the weight at a measured pace after the initial newb loss. I recommend not setting your weight loss goal above 1-2 lbs a week so your body can adjust to the changes. General medical advice is 1lb a week for safe sustainable loss, personally do 2lbs but so far have only done it in…

Feel free to add me I've been at it for a bit but 'm just getting into the community and looking for friends also

To get an idea of your daily caloric expenditure you can try a tdee calculator like https://tdeecalculator.net with your activity level I would start at heavy exercise. You have had great initial results! Without knowing more about you I can only give general advice i wouldn't go below 1000 calories under your tdee results…

The 50/30/20 ratio is based upon the current recommendations by the government. They are not a bad way to go I personally follow it. There are other ways to determine macros if you are trying a certain diet like the keto diet but for most people I would suggest using the default.
