Pick a daily reason to be positive about your weight loss. Don't beat yourself up for diet mistakes. Just don't repeat the same mistakes.

I recommend reading Dr. Phil's 20/20 Diet book. It has changed the way I look at eating and has given me the tools to eat healthy even when I cheat! My weight plateau was 192.1. I thought I would be stuck there forever. I was stuck there for 2 months. Since starting this diet in May I have lost 29 lbs. Only 8 more to go!!!

I too started my journey over 300lbs back in 2006. Glad you posted! One suggestion try to increase your steps every day. The more you move the less time you have to eat. I built slowly. 156 lbs weight loss later I am walking 15,000 to 20,000 steps a day and keeping it off. Keep up the good work!

I lost 150 lbs between 2006 and 2009. Kept it all off until 2012 when I broke my back. Kept off all but 50lbs after my accident. Recently, I had cancer surgery. After that was able to get back on track by walking daily with my walker. I am now down 45 of those 50 lbs. I work as an Accountant which means I spend a lot of my…

No one calls you obese anymore How strangers notice and encourage your increased fitness. How you have so much more energy. I feel like I had ADHD, I can't sit still anymore. I have gone from less than 10,000 steps a day to over 20,000. You realize the foods you thought you loved you don't really want to eat anymore.

I think it depends on your personal preference. I also weigh first thing in the morning naked. Daily weigh ins can be a negative influence because your weight will vary up and down day to day. When I first was using my fitness pal I did weekly weigh ins since you get a bigger sense of accomplishment. Now I weigh in at…

Amp up the exercise and it will help you lose more weight. I had my surgery 17 years ago. I was glad that I lost all of my weight in the first year. After that the cravings and your appetite will increase. Work on making small changes to your daily routine that will add movement. I lost a total of 171 pounds. I have…

I had my gastric sleeve in 2005. At the time I weighed 330 lbs. I needed to lose 30 lbs before they would even consider the procedure. The doctor put me on a liquid diet to achieve that within 30 days. One year after the surgery I weighed 159 lbs. This took not only food control but a lot of exercise. In 2018 I fell and…
