I've done this recipe a couple of times, grilling the peaches after dusting lightly with brown sugar. Awesome summer dessert! http://tastykitchen.com/blog/2012/08/grilled-peaches-with-honey-ginger-cream-cheese-fluff/

Nope, but darn the NFL for scheduling the Packers/Cardinals game for 12/27. Guess we'll *have* to spend Christmas in Phoenix!

Great, detailed explanation and metrics showing that weight loss is NOT LINEAR! Some of your deviations are explainable, some are not, but the trend is what we're all looking for, and yours is great. Keep it up!

As has been mentioned, I'd just had enough. Having a new Fitbit (now Garmin) definitely helped get me started. Finding MFP was truly a Godsend. I'm a statistical person by nature, so once I got on the roll of logging food and exercise, it motivates me to this day to continue my streaks and reach new goals.

Great approach. Good luck!

It's definitely plausible! Your body can fluctuate 4-6+ pounds from day to day, and from my experience, you've hit the daily double. Muscle soreness is typically caused from inflammation and lactic acid buildup, and your body will use extra water to fight the effect of a strong workout. The combination of this with added…

Most seasonings unless specifically marked low or sodium free will have salt, and often a lot of it. That being said, unless you have issues with blood pressure or have been directed to a low sodium diet, a bit of extra salt is typically not harmful. Spices are usually low in calories, and for a meal, I don't log them. If…

Great job! Coming up on 6 months of this type of lifestyle and loving the results!

I always think I'm funny, but I'm not sure how many others agree. :-) I'm pretty sure my picture is by the word "sarcasm" in most photo dictionaries.
-
Please feel free to add me if you like. I'm quite sarcastic but try to be as supportive as I can. The only time I'm sometimes critical is when people log cleaning as exercise. It's a peeve of mine. LOL

Awesome job! Great work!!

Started my journey this year a week after I turned 42. Down 70 pounds YTD. For me, it's all about a lifestyle change of better eating and improved exercise, regardless of my age.

Wow! Thanks for all of the support! People don't really "get it" when I say I'm just getting started. Because this is my new lifestyle, and it's only been about 6 months, my weight loss journey is probably 2/3 complete, but the journey to a life of health and fitness is just beginning!

90+ minutes of exercise/day since 3/1. Walked 550+ miles. Weights 3x/week.

Open diary. Daily goal of 2200 calories w/ macro targets @ 35%C 35%F 30%P

42 and well on my way toward my goals. 68 pounds lost YTD and on track for my goal of 75 pounds by 9/1. 100 by the end of the year is possible. Regardless, keep up the great work everyone!

I won't allow jalapeno pimento cheese in the house anymore. It's just a binge waiting to happen! At least last time, it was with carrots and not crackers/chips. :-)

As posted above, Vitamix and Blendtec are the best machines out there. Because the Vitamix is too tall to fit under the cabinet, we decided on a Blendtec and love it and use it every day.

Great work! Sadly, I have 8 pounds to go to get to your starting weight! It's inspiring to see such tremendous success!

This is the most basic advice that truly works. Alarm. Feet. Floor. It just has to become routine and gets easier after a few days. Coincidentally, the following article on MSN recently echos many of the suggestions offered in this thread:…

Don't buy them, so they're not in your house. If they're in the vending machine, don't carry small bills or coins!

Thank you for the nice compliments. My head has been in a really good place for this journey, and I truly believe this is why I'll finally learn that this is the new me.

We owned a Treadclimber once and mainly used it locked in place as a treadmill. It wore out pretty quickly. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, and once operational, I sold it. We've had a good treadmill since and haven't ever had any problems. The Treadclimber is a good workout, though as others have mentioned, a…

What an amazing transformation! Jokingly, it's too bad you didn't transform to a new team, too. :-)
-
Awesome job! Keep up the great work!

If anyone is interested in following for the next 150 days and beyond, please feel free to add me. I log both food and exercise every day and try to be as supportive as I can. Keep up the great work!

42 and have a goal of losing 100 pounds and no longer being obese by the time I'm 43!
