Happy MFP Anniversary!

Mmm... it's fluid intake anyway and you get a proportion of that from your food! So much misinformation...

Does it matter what temperature the water is? I drink boiled water with a slice of lemon and ginger (does this now count as tea or is it still water?).

It's lego for the mind...

Confession: As per the original poster who said her bra was held together with duct tape and faith I have just 'bust' 2 bras (did you see what I did there?) and now only have two ancient ones left that don't quite fit right (4 boobage :( ) but I'm not buying anymore till I've lost the weight... no t-shirts without jumpers…

I've had my hair with teal layers in it (so my natural brown on top and below) which looked pretty cool - until work changed their clothing policy and "unnatural" hair colours weren't allowed (although my boss's red-purple which looked totally fake was OK?). I do have a fancy purple wig for when I want crazy hair and a…

Yes really - 'cos MFP doesn't have enought Peeps already @tincanonastring

:'( We'll miss you!
-
But think of all the extra calories you'd burn too!
-
Double post :(

Just LOL'd at this. I've been doing C25K podcasts and on the longer runs the voice says "If you're getting tired you can slow down - but keep going" and I'm like "If I slow down anymore I'll be overtaken by walkers!"

I did crawl back to LighterLife Lite after completing LighterLife Total (VLCD with 'councelling' and required medical supervision) then gaining back a few stone some years ago but it was mortifying (and again very expensive). At least MFP is free (and somewhat anonymous)! I hope you're successfull in losing the weight…

Congratulations!

Pilates is great for focusing and engaging your core muscles.

That's a fab win! I'm looking forward to getting some "keep 'em on" boots if my calves get thinner.

Confession: When the confessions on the thread get serious I want to show sympathy/empathy, give support and advice but I'm rubbish at it. I get really awkward and don't know what to say. So I'm not ignoring them - I just don't know how to respond appropriately. (I'm even worse in real life.)

Definitely this. For various reasons I've always felt the odd one out and that friendships I have made have faded/been cut off. Not only does this mean it's more difficult to make friends - the more I put in the harder it will hurt when it ends - it also means I've grown pretty independent. I go on holiday alone, go to…

Confession 1: I totally skipped my workout yesterday because when I did it on Monday it made my cramps 3x worse :( Confession 2: I woke up way too late this morning to go for my run - I'm too embarrassed to run after 7am because then there are too many people around to see me. So that's two days with no exercise...

This. Just This. Thank you for the LOLZ.

I was totally thinking human centipede and I am never watching that film.
-
I'm jealous - I've never been in one either!
-
I just want you for your sonic screwdriver ;)
-
Me neither - My current food plan for next week has me under by ~ 50 g a day! I'm thinking burgers for lunch...

I probably would have - when I did get allergic reactions that itched I used to rub my skin raw on the carpet to try to stop it - which was bliss for 5 seconds and then even itchier. Occasionally I still react to biological washing powders (I never use them) but if I'm sleeping in bedsheets washed with them I will spend…

Confession 1: I've spent my entire morning at work (apart from the bit where we stood outside and watched the eclipse) trying to catch up on this thread. My supervisor is away today but I have lots to do anyways :( Confession 2: I have made too many aborted/stiffled chuckles whilst reading so now some of my colleagues are…

Hi, I'm 30, I've started to lose weight but have 40 lbs to go before I reach my target - and then a lifetime of maintaining ;) Add me!
-
My housemate bought some scales and left them in the shared bathroom. I put off stepping on them for a couple of months but then curiosity got the best of me. I couldn't believe I'd gone back up to 12 st (168 lbs) - I thought I was at the higher end of 10 st (~148 - 154 lbs). Over the last 5 years my weight had increased…

Great transformation - I love the change in flexibility. Well done!
