I know it is hard but try to appreciate your body for all the things it can do. Whether that is just being able to walk around, to run that 5K, to lift whatever weight - even if you want it to do more, be amazed by what it can do already. Before half my shopping was chocolate/biscuits/crisps/desserts and I'd smuggle most of it into my room rather than leave it in the kitchen because I was embarrassed. Now it is all veg/meat/fruit and I can unpack without shame!

Thank you all for your comments and advice. I'll try a run tomorrow and see what my body tells me! I'll also start doing some more stretching and flexibility exercises.
