On our national health website I read yesterday that for The Netherlands they don't expect a growth for the coming 15 years or so. With all the attention obesity and overweightness has gotten, people seem to eat less and move more again.

Lol, I used to own a coffeeshop, one where we actually served coffee, I always need to explain that when I tell someone. And yes for me it was also lack of activity that got me here. I started a really sedentary job 9 years ago, 15 km from where I live. Couldn't do that on my previous bike. Weight just kept creeping up in…

I'm Dutch and didn't believe those figures so I checked and while the obesity figure is correct, about 48 % is overweight...

When I first started I went looking for what formula they used, there's a link in the help section where I found the following The sedentary category was defined to include BEE, the thermic effect of food, and the energy expended in physical activities that are required for independent living. For an adult weighing 70 kg,…

No it's a book. I bought the Kindle edition on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Strong-Curves-Womans-Building-Better/dp/1936608642 However, if you search YT for 'strong curves workout' you'll find lots of videos

I have a history of back and hip issues due to an accident many moons ago. I love Strong Curves! It has a section on bodyweight with which you can start until you're confident enough to use weights. I highly recommend it.

There's an ongoing issue that I think may cause this: http://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1970451--members-may-experience-some-steps-issues-5-5-5-8-

You can keep using the app on your phone, just turn steps off in the settings. They are working on it so keep an eye on the link I provided above and turn steps back on once it's fixed.

Scroll a bit further, right below meal names it says Calorie Adjustments: Dis/Enable Negative Adjustments However, turning that off won't solve the issue. "We are working on tightening some things up on the back end surrounding our Steps feature within the MyFitnessPal program over the next 24-48 hours. This relates to…

If you want to track WW points you need to do that on the WW site/app. MFP is a calorie counting tool meaning you need to weigh your food and count its calories. You could start here to understand what MFP can do for you…

Mine started working yesterday morning again, but from the link I provided earlier... UPDATES May 8, 2015, 11:26am PST - We have resumed sending and receiving data from Fitbit. It has returned to normal for a large portion of our members, but there is still some backlog being worked through. We are keeping an eye on things…

Lol, we only have 4 weeks of ice per year, if we have a cold winter at all. Indoor skating is mostly recreational and I wouldn't really call it our national pastime.

Wow, awesome!

OP said smoothie, not 'just a' shake. I used to skip breakfast all together but I've started biking to work (10 miles) every day and almost fainted halfway in the first week. Now I have a smoothie each morning made from 'real' foods at about 480 calories. Fruit, veg, oats, greek yoghurt, protein. Fills me up until lunch…

I think you may have set your weekly calorie goal set too aggressive for the amount of weight you have to lose. Do you have it at 1 lb a week? I am 5"9, 178 lbs and and with .5 a week I am allowed to eat 1550 before exercise and I am sedentary. Also, as strong_curves said, your logging should be really tight for these last…

I use a coffee scoop. As I weigh the powder anyway it doesn't matter what I use, the coffee scoop is convenient and always around.

This is part of what I posted earlier but then thought I misunderstood and she meant that she ate all of her exercise calories back instead of only a portion of them hence not losing weight *confused*

Edited as misunderstood OP, carry on :)

Never heard of it, sounds great!
