I should say I am lifting and doing cardio in the gym 4x a week and have been sporadically cycling or swimming too. Trying to eat around 1700 calories a day. And trying hard not to weigh as it drives me crazy!

If only more than one of my chickens was laying eggs.... At least the veggie patch is doing well!

This ^ You have been strong enough to go through pain (probably coming from more than just your love life - we've all got our stuff to deal with), you're raising two kids who trust you and rely on you. I'm guessing there's much more to commend you than you've mentioned, maybe more than you will admit to yourself. If you're…

Thanks Alice, I hadn't thougt to check that the macros were added into food I log - will be doing it from now on. I worked out that I need 75 grams of protein just generally per day, using the 0.36g of protein per lb of body weight. But if I'm exercising how much more do I need to increase that by? Thanks to all who…

The calorie burn uploads directly from my fitbit. Its based on my whole day's movement - today I have done over 16000 steps which were obviously not logged while lifting so my lifting tends to go unlogged. Its always super high and then will adjust overnight and get smaller when I look at my diary tomorrow. I tend not to…

Ha nope! Out shopping with my sister and she wanted to go into McDonalds so I made the most of it. Don't even feel guilty! My exercise was 1hr in the gym - I did some shoulder presses, lat pull downs and some leg curls before I hit the cross-trainer and the treadmill. I am not as strict as I used to be - world's worst…

Oops! I think it's set to public now. This week i've been eating strawberries, blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast, if i'm super-hungry I throw a bit of cereal in there too. I have a go ahead yoghurt biscuit before I go to the gym which is probably not enough but I go at 6am and cant get up any earlier for breakfast - I…

I get what I call exercise headaches but it doesn't sound the same as what you describe...I looked into it and found that It is very common to suffer headaches After or sometimes during physical exertion and there are a few theories about why ranging from poor hydration to a weakness/overstressing of the neck-muscles. My…

I have similar issues (I've always assumed it was due to my huge *kitten*!) and this thread has been super useful - thanks all, will be building up core strength and practising other leg/hip exercises now!

I'm friending you - I need your positive vibes!

Woop woop! :-)

Your goals are so similar to mine! I started at 218 and I'm aiming for onderland before heading for 184 (my previous attempt`s lowest). I'm currently 202 (tantalisingly close) and going on holiday next week: so frustrating! I'll get there one day, thanks for the inspiration!

I`ve had an implant for almost 6 years now. I'll be honest: I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I liked but I continue to use it because it was the best of a bad bunch in terms of options. I have periods which last for 6 weeks or more and are unpredictable and irregular. I`ve used hormonal BC for 10 years and started gaining…

I do "weigh in wednesay" which is when I log it on mfp but I cant help but hop on the scales most days between just to check how its going!
-
Well done you! I have added you as a friend because I feel I might need to use you as inspiration when I get to 201!

What a great post! Beautifully geeky too. I have a charge hr linked to mfp and havek been struggling to accept the calories burned reading, on reflection I think I am more active than I give myself credit for. The one thing I have learned though; I REALLY love a graph!
-
I just got a charge hr a couple of days ago and its definitely interesting... I love the graphs for motivation, the heart rate one is particularly good as I can track non walking activities such as cycling. The only problem I have atm is that I just cant believe the amount of calories it says I burn in a day (well over…

Good luck! Now you HAVE to let us know how it goes.....

I also just got a fitbit hr so will follow this thread with interest.. forgive my ignorance but what does BMR stand for? There are so many acronyms on here I don't understand!
