Today is going to be a tough one. Not enough sleep, dealing with some emotionally hard issues, and 3 of the kiddos will be here all day. I'm going to do my best to eat healthy and do some exercise to help me deal. Praying I can find the energy and strength to get through the day. Hope everyone has a great day

Oh how I know your pain

Hello everyone! I'm Linda, I live in Virginia. I have 5 grown kids and 6 grandkids with number 7 making an appearance in late October  Two of my sons, a daughter in law, and 2 1/2 year old grandson live with my husband and I. Which definitely makes life interesting. I don't work outside the home, but I do babysit 3…

You have made a great first step. Reaching out to others will be your life line. Check in everyday and log every single bite that you put in your mouth. Make friends that will help motivate and encourage you and keep you accountable. God bless you on your journey. You definitely have big obstacles but you can do this…

As far as exercising goes, I'm limited to low impact. I like to walk and did a lot of Leslie sansons walk away the pounds DVDs. I have a Fitbit and love to do the challenges. I also added some strength exercises using Dumbbells. Logging my food and finding friends on here was a big help. Having challenges really helps to…

You'll really feel it tomorrow. I know whenever I do something I haven't done in a while I feel like someone just beat me up. Ibuprofen and nice warm showers help. But the soreness is so worth it. Take a day for your muscles to rest and recover, but don't quit!

I'm 53, but I'm on a health journey also. Would love to shed a few more pounds but more interested in getting as healthy as I can. Would love a friend or two to rely on for daily chats of motivation and general keeping my butt moving...lol

I would like to try this. It might be the kick I need to getting my weight to start coming down again.

I completely understand what you are talking about. I absolutely hate the vertigo/dizziness. I have been plagued with it for many years. It hadn't bothered me in a long time and just recently has resurfaced with a vengeance along with my migraines. I had a total hysterectomy over 13 years ago. Of course when I say to hubby…

Was trying to add some of you newer folks, but for some reason I'm having trouble adding people, so here is my profile if you want to add me https://www.fitbit.com/user/3F77VZ I love doing challenges

That's lowering your goal...wow, that's awesome I usually do Fitbit challenges with of goal 10,000 steps a day, which is a little under 5 miles. So I think I will bump that up and aim for 200 miles. Hopefully setting the goal will keep me moving

Good morning! Please don't let that one bad meal derail you mentally. This is a journey and one that is made up of many days, some great some not so great. And the great thing is that everyday is a new chance to start over and do better. Believe me I still have those days where all I want to do is eat sugary treats. And…

You can add me. This journey is tough, but friends on here make it a lot better

I have fibro and arthritis...generally the healthy eating and exercise helps. But when I have a flare up sometimes it makes it hard to do either. Not sleeping well and migraines can definitely interfere with my daily plan. Hugs to you and anyone else dealing with the pain of these conditions ❤️

Hello Cathy, I'm Linda. I have a love hate relationship with sugar and chocolate. Never been overly obsessed with carbs or dairy, but give me a big ole bag of peanut butter m&m's and I'm in heaven  Been working hard to cut added sugar out of my diet and I usually do ok until I'm over tired or stressed, which around…

Oh my gosh I think we were twins separated at birth..lol I have been on this journey since last August and have cut sugar and chocolate mostly out of my life. Although I don't completely deny myself a treat now and again. Especially if it's a celebration and there is cake  But I know that once I start eating sugary…
