Can confirm. :D

By 'tracking' everything you eat, does that include using a food scale? Have you read the infographic upthread ^^? Your answer is somewhere in there. :)
-
I always blame the cat. <nods>

I recommend getting the food scale, getting used to weighing everything (and make sure you're using the proper nutritional values) before adding more calories. As was mentioned, chances are you're consuming more calories than you think right now.

Focus on being healthy *mentally *and* physically* for the sake of your daughter. All the rest is just #firstworldproblems

I was talking about RD's recommending specific macro splits in general - which I would have no issue with - not those associated with this bogus DNA testing scheme, if they were stupid enough to do so. No RD would likely risk putting their licence in jeopardy by participating in this kind of a scam. If they did, they would…

Glad to see that you realize that there are no extra benefits to doing IF, and no penalties if you 'break' your fast outside of your 'eating window.' The magic doesn't stop, because there *is* no magic. ;) At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the total amount of calories consumed, and nothing at all to do…

To the bolded: Point taken. :) I would, however, only back down on my observation were these very specific macro splits put forward to the client via a Registered Dietician rather than coming from a nutritionist as the result of DNA testing. And only if it were done in relation to, as you mentioned, diagnosed medical…

Aside from already knowing that this particular type of DNA 'interpretation' is a scam, I did have to marvel at how wonderfully deceptive the recommended macro split is in this case. They gave The OP an oddly specific macro split: 71 gr carbs, 88 gr of protein and 86 gr of fat. Instead of say, a more generic 70/90/85…

This. ^^ I've found that 'tone' in a written message here can all too easily be skewed to the negative whenever the person reading it isn't simply getting the affirmation they may have been looking for. The reality, however, is that usually the posts they deem as being negative contain the information they actually need…

No. You're supposed to eat your exercise calories back, or at least the majority of them. That's how MFP is set up. Otherwise, you're under-fueling your workouts and your body, and that won't end anywhere good. Please look up exercise bulimea. It's a thing. A dangerous thing.
-
I don't remember. :D
-
I'm curious, too, about the 'genetic testing' you've had done to determine your macros. Can you give us more info on that, please? Also, are you attempting to lose or maintain your current weight?
-
I know who Manson is. But because you said "Mason," that's why I asked. Had no idea who you were referring to. And I'm 65, so I'm definitely old enough. ;)
-
Who is Mason?
-
Apparently, I need a cruise. I'm okay with that. ;)
-
Depends. What have you been doin' in all those hotel rooms, huh? :D
-
If you remember the 60's and 70's, you didn't live them. :D
-
But you're now a year post-fracture if I understand you correctly?
-
My genetics didn't bless me with big boobs, but I'm okay with that. I'd rather be admired for my intelligence and sparkling wit, anyways. :D
-
May I ask how old you are? Regardless, I do think getting some physical therapy would be a great idea.

Intermittent Fasting is just a way that some people find useful to help control caloric intake. Having said that, you *do* still have to watch what you eat. Unfortunately, "eat whatever you want" is usually a recipe for disaster, because it's waaaaay too easy to vastly overeat in an 8 hour window of time. :)

The best way to help members of the community is to jump in on the myriad of threads that are started each day from people looking for a light at the end of the tunnel. Welcome!

Those, too. :) To the OP: Adolescents need to fuel their bodies properly. Yours is still growing and changing, including your brain. Please get some help before you do permanent damage to yourself.

I like my pool water nice and warm, anyway! B)

They get more out of it than they would sitting on their couch. ;) Not every one is physically capable of herculean tasks in the pool. And that's okay. You do you. The beauty about swimming (and any other form of exercise for that matter) is that the longer you do it, the more you can do. :)
-
No, you haven't been doing so well. Previous threads of yours have you eating @900 calories a day. Bare minimum for a male is 1500. You've been literally starving yourself. Please get help to stop this vicious cycle that you're in. It won't end anywhere good as is. :'(

When that happened to me, it was usually followed by a 'whoosh' - a sudden downward weight drop. Kind of like my body was just loosening up the fat before dumping it. ;)
