I see what you mean. My iron up to now is big, fat, zero, haha. Calcium's a bit better. Luckily, I do eat a pretty varied and nutritious diet which includes tons of vegetables. So basically my sodium, fiber, sugar, vitamin c and vitamin a take care of themselves from what the reports have shown. I'll just hope the same…

Thnks = ) Yeah, I'm pretty good with my daily water intake and I definitely get it in when I eat out, because of the sodium. If I don't, I end up dreaming I'm a camel walking the Sahara's ha And I, too, usually take half my dish back to the hotel to get another meal out of it, since restaurant portions are huge. Works…

Huh... this is brilliant! I tracked sodium at first (think it was set by default?), but quickly realized my sodium intake is naturally low and takes care of itself. So I switched it to sugar and fiber, which by now I know how to manage just fine. I didn't even remember that the rest of the micros were available for…

Hey, thanks for the corrected links. I have another question, if I may. Whenever I eat out for non-fun reasons (my job involves a lot of traveling at times), I try to choose a nutritious, deficit-friendly option (you know, along the lines of beef, chicken or fish and veggies) and I just eyeball the portions and log 'em…
-
Hm, I wanted to read these :+1: , but they're all 404's it seems. Can you provide the correct links?
-
Ohhhh I (finally) see what you mean. Well, yes, but for instance, I see that my vitamin C and vitamin A intake is solid, my calcium is so-so ... and my iron intake sucks. Except on some days, apparently. But what a drag it would be to go and check each of those higher days... and furthermore guess what food provided more…
-
Really? Okay, I'll stop asking, sit up straighter and find it! Thanks again :+1:
-
But they're weekly reports, right? No chance to see it on one particular day? (Or did I misunderstand and these weekly reports are what you all meant?)
-
Haha, I took a reasonably good look right now and it seems there's no options =/
-
Hmm, I use this on a chrome browser on a tablet. I haven't downloaded the app. I'm pretty sure I checked thoroughly (even did a quick search before asking), but I'll give it another look. Thanks ")
-
How do you guys check your micros? That weekly report? Is there a daily one wich shows a goal and quantity so far, like the macros have?
-
Apart from the obvious of sticking to my calorie deficit, being disciplined with my workouts and minding my macros... I guess it would be staying in control. Pulling the frack together when I start to go off the rails too much. Creating a simple program and sticking to it. Taking some time to plan (menus, how to handle…

Right. I have absolutely no intention of avoiding dairy and I thank the stars above that I don't have to. I just passed the lactose free milk in the aisles one fine day and thought "hey, maybe those are 'nicer' for the body" (I'm dead tired right now, my vocabulary is too). But then I read that that's not necessarily so...…
-
Hey. I have another question I couldn't find a straight answer to... If someone is NOT lactose intolerant, would drinking lactose free milk still be better for them? Is it something to consider, I mean, to avoid bloating or such? Or would it be nonsense to pay more for it, being that there's no need? Or would it be flat…

haha, will do, I already starred it for a less hectic read (in a few hours), which will involve my bed, fresh pijamas, and hot tea.
-
oops, right. Great. Tomorrow, being a Monday, would make a perfect day 1. So here I go I guess! Thanks ^^

Hi. I'm majorly distracted as I'm reading this thread, but I think I'm interested in doing this. I have a feeling my core could use some powering up, because I can't do a good push up to save my life and wall squats have me shaking in about 3 seconds =/. I do other bootcamp styled stuff, like burpees or jump squats, just…
-
ha! lmao
-
haha, oops!
-
wow, these tips sound great = ). Maaan, I wish I was more motivated to cook. I mean, I do... but I could definetly gourmet it up a notch, ha.
-
hahaha anticipate the pastries!!
-
Perhaps! But if it's just one day it doesn't matter. Imagine people who cal cycle. Edited to correct cal not carb, hehe. Darn, what IS that? I wouldn't eat them if I'm nor particularly hungry, op. You can save them for the weekend or any day when you want to go a little over. Or, as someone else pointed... peanut butter!…

Yeah, I guess you're right. For the olive oil I use for salads, I just check how it's refined. And purity. This leads me to one that is reasonably expensive  .... but not as much as organic versions which I am not prepared to pay for consistenly. I pay for quality olive oil and quality chocolate
-
Huh. I only get warnings when it's below a thou. Never for 1000-1199 and I'm set on 1200 too.
-
If you're not hungry, I really wouldn't eat. You're not down by that many cals anyway. Save those calories for the weekend, which is when we usally want to eat more! Or, as stated above, consider them as a fail-safe for the calories you may have unintentionally undrestimated. Edited for friggin typo :unamused:
-
lol, agree on the organic hippy bc point of view. And also agree that in oils it's something to consider, especially if being consumed raw too, right? I use a good quality olive oil for salads... and any ole crisco cooking spray for stir frying :O It's probably not the best, but it helps me stay in my deficit. 5 cals per…
-
hmmm... so, no, right? Yeah, that's what I figured from my readings :+1: He asked me because he sees that I'm all into nutrition and stuff, but I honestly'd never heard of canola oil. Thnks for the chart!! I'll just email him this ;)
-
Hi. So here's one my father asked me and google gave me mixed responses: Is canola oil good or bad for frying, from a "health" point of view? Thnks!
-
Sounds good. Leaves you plenty of cals for later in the day, which is nice (and fun). And, well, being disciplined with the gym is great. Putting thought in what you're eating and working out are smart moves. I was doing unnecessary things like considering avoiding dairy (never actually got around to it, lol), not eating…

Interesting. I wondered about this myself a while ago and once again I see that it doesn't matter  . Great! I swear, the most important thing I've learned from these forums is not to worry/obsses about little things, because, luckily, they usually don't matter. As in they really, scientifically do not matter. I'm…
