If you belong to a gym, try to get into a weightlifting or circuit training class so you retain muscle mass as you lose weight.

I usually do running every other day to get in my cardio, and have done weightlifting or a circuit training class on the other days. I usually end up taking a complete rest day on the weekend, mostly because I need the break and I have a ton of social activities and errands to do. I have managed to avoid fatigue and…

What I did to avoid shin splints was to go to my local running store. The sales person watched me jog up and down the sidewalk outside the store in five different pairs of shoes. He was able to see that two of the pairs improved my gait. I bought a pair. No shin or knee pain. Old poor fitting shoes don't do you any favors.…

I did Couch to 5K this last summer. I just carried my phone in my hand, and never dropped it. I made sure my hand was kind of relaxed so my hand didn't get tired. I turned the volume up all the way so I could hear the voice prompts telling me when to run and when to jog. If I thought it might rain, I put my phone in a…

I've given up chocolate before. Then when I re-introduced chocolate, I found I didn't crave it as often so that was a nice little bonus! Have you discovered Ritter brand mini chocolates? They're a nice little serving, come in lots of varieties, and come in at just under 60 calories. I no longer need large servings to…

I sometimes buy Ice brand sparkling water. I like the grapefruit and lemonade flavors. Like you, I often don't want to be stuck with the blandness of regular water.
-
It counts as water. Are you drinking a liter of tea, though? You still need to hydrate yourself which, oddly enough, helps you avoid water retention. I believe you can purchase zero calorie or low calorie water flavorings, which some people find helpful to increasing their water intake. It's worth looking into!

What stood out for me was you’re not eating back any of the calories you earn by exercising. MFP is set up for you to do so. I did that & lost weight.
-
Nah. You’re exhaling air forcefully for wind and brass instruments but probably not burning many calories.
-
Keep going. You’ll lose weight in those areas slower if those are the places where the majority of your fat accumulated. At least, I lost my thigh and hip weight last. One way to check your real progress is to use a tape measure to see how your body is changing.

Buy some Spanx.
-
Take some before and after photos, maybe just once a week. Compare your first week to one you've taken four weeks later. Good idea to use a measuring tape. Are you using MFP? Honestly, if you follow the logging protocols and eat within the calorie goal MFP gives you, you will lose weight AND fuel your body so your mind…

Do you mean that you eat when you're bored? I've done that. Here's what I do: I pour a tall glass of water and drink it. I eat a rice cake with peanut butter on it. Or I slice up some cucumbers and eat them with some cherry tomatoes. When nothing else will do, I make a batch of popcorn and snack on that. Here's another…

I weigh every morning. I put my weight in Happy Scale. Sure, my weight goes up and down, but the trend is I'm losing weight overall. That little graph makes me happy!
-
Do you put dentist and doctor appointments on your calendar? I do. And I put my gym times on the calendar, too, and keep those appointments. Sometimes I'll write "Zumba class, 8:30" for Monday and Wednesday, and I just go! It's a commitment to myself. So pack up that gym back, put on your shoes, grab your car keys and get…

I lost 30 pounds and started running. I’m pretty sure it was the weight loss that gave me smaller hips and butt, yet I enjoyed the running. And the Zumba. It’s true that you can’t spot reduce but why not move more anyway?

Cuddleduds long underwear. Thick socks and insulated boots. Hand warmers for inside your boots and mittens. And invite someone to go on a half hour walk with you!
-
Don’t decrease your calories. You are already at the lowest MFP recommends.
-
I think you’re on the right track to increase calories. I lost weight too fast and lost muscle mass, which takes forever to regain!
-
MFP works, you just need to be consistent and accurate. My sister in law gained weight on the new WW program, too. It lets you eat “free” foods that actually -gasp! - have calories!! Plus it costs money.

Two eggs = 78 calories x 2 = 156 calories. One half ounce of cheddar cheese = 56 calories. If you need to get more full, make those eggs scrambled and toss in a generous serving of steamed broccoli. I was able to eat this breakfast on a 1200 calorie a day allowance. I’d skip the toast and bacon and make a BLT for lunch if…

Log your exercise. Eat back at least half of the exercise calories you earned. You will still lose weight!! Your body needs the fuel. I lost 2 pounds a week and lost muscle mass eating 1200 calories a day. I met my goal weight but my arms look awful. I sincerely wish I hadn’t lost weight so aggressively. So I highly…

Circuit training, at least when I did it, involved a number of weight stations. I developed a few muscles while I lost fat. It changed the proportions of my shoulders, biceps and triceps. My shirts fit differently because my upper body shape was reconfigured (in a good way!). I also experienced the feeling that I was…

I calculate my calorie intake so I can have a brownie!! No harm, no foul.

Sounds to me that he’s non-confrontational with her AND you. He doesn’t want to rock the boat with his wife. He doesn’t want to have meaningful dialogue with you because he doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. Do you want to be with an nice guy who has a history of being an indecisive man in all his relationships?
-
Congrats on your weight loss! Have you tried the Happy Scale app? I found it helpful to see the downward weight loss trend and it motivated me to stay on track.
-
If your “cheat meal” was restaurant food it was probably full of sodium, which can cause water retention, which shows as temporary weight gain. Don’t panic. It’ll go away soon.
-
Are you eating back the extra calories you earn by exercising? What I mean is, you would eat your 1600 calories PLUS the additional 300 to 600 calories you expended lifting weights. If you do that, you’ll be less likely, I think, to panic and binge. You might be overly restricting your calorie intake and need to eat more…

I second the idea of getting yourself a pair of Cuddleduds. They’re a nice lightweight extra layer under your clothes. They have some soft fuzziness next to your skin and the other side of the material is slinky. Easy to wear under your pants and jeans. If you have to wear skirts or dresses, I swear by those opaque fleece…

Maybe pop a few donut holes instead?
