I think that is just a goal you set. It won't change the daily/weekly calorie targets based on this. That is purely based on taking off x number of calories from your basal metabolic rate that is calculated from the questions you answer such as height, weight, activity level.

I find I'm making myself walk more too to reach my daily goal and try to surpass it. Great device.

I would say weigh the flour and egg before and after prep. The difference is what you eat.

Write a list of what you're cooking, how long it takes (including resting for meat). Work out a plan of when to start cooking stuff. Works great for meals with a lot going on. Use a non permanent pen on the fridge door to write it all down.
