  • I make these but do not use the low fat Cheese she calls for. I use sharp cheddar and sprinkle parm over the top instead of breadcrumbs. The calorie difference is not that much, maybe 40 calories if I recall correctly.
  • Depending on the brand a regular ice cream sandwich is 120-170 calories. You can get a box of 12 for less than a box of 6 Skinny Cow and the macros aren't all that different. I've tried Halo Top three times and it just doesn't work for me as 'ice cream.' The one time I did eat more than 1/2 pint I definitely felt "ooky"…
  • I don't know about filling but I've found Quest and Muscle Milk bars (180-210) hold me over until the next meal as far as a snack goes. Many good ones out there but these seem to be the ones that have staying power for me. Always keep one in my bag in case I'm out and about later than planned.
  • I'm hoping you have your ratios mixed up here or you mean this for an entire salad because 3 tablespoons of olive oil would be 360 calories. That would be more calories than a serving of your typical creamy dressing. I like Opa Blue Cheese and Ranch, Ken's Basil and Parm lowfat Italian and Bernstein's Cheese Fantastico.…
  • +3lbs I've rarely gone under and I'd probably roll with it if I did so I don't give myself a minus range. Probably because I'm a creature of habit foodwise my weight tends to be remarkably stable. TOM/ovulation, heavy meal/high sodium, new workout routine has me up 2-3lbs. If that 2-3lbs remains consistent and can't be…
  • I've been on an ice cream sandwich kick lately. Anywhere from 120-170 calories. Best of both worlds, ice cream AND cookies in one package. The triple chocolate Market Pantry ones from Target are my top choice right now. Also like Edy's/Bryer's slow churned. I've tried three different flavors of Halo Top and that stuff just…

  • When I do Leslie Sansone Walk videos it registers as elliptical. I have a tendency to swing my arms forward and back, left over from my step aerobics days. I can confirm if you go in and shut a particular excercise down it will revert to walking. I've also gotten outdoor bike ride when I've had a bumpy cart. Generally if…
  • I was tested and deemed in the normal range but man, I'd crash and burn pretty quick after a meal. It could be that I'm just sensitive blood sugar wise but I decided to eat as if I had low blood sugar issues. Small, frequent meals throughout the day that are high in protein. I haven't drank fruit juice in close to two…
  • There is a math equation somewhere here on the forums but I can never find it when I'm looking for it. What I did was cook 2ozs and then weighed it. For me it's a 148 grams for Protein Plus Thin Spaghetti. I've done this with all types of pasta, rice and hot cereal I use. As long as you're cooking time is consistent it…
  • Somehow I missed your last sentence. Maybe a diet break is in order. If you have it in your head that you're going to take a break it might be better mentally and more controllable then just kind of going off the rails.
  • Well, I've been at this a very long time so it's had a chance to stick. Why not try to employ it? You may not succeed every time but if you keep trying eventually it's bound to become a habit. That's the whole idea isn't it? Replace bad habits with better ones?
  • If I get a case of "the hungries" and I'm truly hungry (not bored, sad, mad, thirsty etc.) I give myself permission to eat at maintenance that day. If I go over or lose my mind a little bit I don't start over the next day, I regroup and "start over" the very next meal. I've found that if I put getting back on track at a…
  • From my experience, losing 69 lbs, keeping it off for almost five years, gaining 20 and not caring for two years I can tell you neither will work if you don't have your head in the game. You have to WANT to do it. The only person who can get you there mentally is you. WW will work. Counting calories will work. But only if…
  • Well now, that's a genius idea! You just gave me my snack for the evening.
  • I prefer PBfit over PB2. The chocolate in either really doesn't have much of a chocolate flavor IMO but I still like it. I add to protein shakes, oatmeal and yogurt. Sometimes I mix with a little almond milk and powdered sugar to make a syrup for pancakes. If you mix it straight into yogurt and add a half serving of mini…
  • You could be having some "calorie creep" happening then. When you stop weighing/logging, portions tend to start creeping up a little bit. Do that three times a day (or however many meals you eat), seven days a week and you could be wiping out your deficit without realizing it. I suggest going back to weighing/logging and…
  • We like Opa Ranch and Blue Cheese. We had a family get together and I set the Ranch out in bowls with a veggie platter. My sister in law asked me for the recipe for my "homemade" Ranch.
  • Someone came up with a solution in the Fitbit Users group. It worked for me after a couple of tries. Might be worth going over there to check out.
  • Something is wonky on the MFP side today I think. Mine stopped syncing about noon. I've tried all the tricks but nothing is working.
  • I log my evening snack first thing in the morning so it's already accounted for. I also find pre logging my day very helpful. I can see where I might need to cut back or if I don't want to cut back do a little bit more walking to fit it in. As mentioned above, I do about a 50/50 split for my deficit. I use a Fitbit synced…
  • If you click through the weight loss help forum you will also find a half dozen new posts every single day that state, "I excercise like a crazy person and I'm not losing weight, what am I doing wrong?" I watch several friends, several times a year take the excercise only approach, start of with a bang, burn themselves out…
  • This. It just feels like she put it together to say, "look what I can make you do!" She's not Jillian in this either, it's like she's trying to go way out of her way to be nice and the fake giggles are ridiculous. I thought maybe I had JM burnout since I'd just finished another round of Body Revolution but had no problem…
  • Do you have a fitness tracker or app linked? It won't show unless you have something monitoring your activity throughout the day. If you do have one linked, maybe disconnect then reconnect them. Also it has to be done on the website, you can't do it in the mobile app.
  • My steps and calories earned are disappearing in the evenings lately. It will flash what it was then show zero steps and put me in the red for calories. What I've been doing is closing out both apps and force syncing MFP. Sometimes it gives my steps back but not usually but it does give my positive calorie adjustment back.…

  • The bakeries/delis at the stores I shop don't put the counts on the packages but if you scan the barcode the info will come up 90% of the time. Same for those bins where you serve up your own stuff and weigh it.
  • I've been getting random entries in Fitbit lately. It's usually when I've chosen a meal I've saved in MFP. It will randomly double add one of the things from the meal. I just delete it from the list in Fitbit.
  • Thank you!
  • Can you tell me where to find "previous entry?" All I can find is today's weight.
  • Where can I do this? Would you mind waking me through it?
  • Hopefully I will find more in grams as I go. This is my first day using the app and I couldn't find Almond Butter in grams, tried to edit and realized I couldn't. LoseIt's database has been failing me a lot lately, stuff I KNOW was in there suddenly isn't and to get realtime Fitbit adjustments you have to go premium. So…
