GNC, NutriShop, VitaminShoppe, etc. I would say anywhere you can buy weight lifting supplements will have the higher quality ones. Beware though, there are so many that are really just garbage...

Yea it is!! And the new S'mores one too.

gah...double post!

This (These). Kraft Olive Oil mayo is fantastically low in fat.

So much "You will" "you cannot" "it doesn't". the level of bro-science here is astounding sometimes. None of this is a yes/no answer, it so much depends on where you are starting from, what exactly you are doing, how its actually getting done, what has been done before, what is your genetic capability... Crazy crazy…

I had the same problem mate, what i did was use that initial "activity" counter (the one that calculates your daily caloric needs) a step higher than it really is. I am eating those calories back this way BUT I am just relying on my separate cardio to get my weight off.
-
1lb = 3500 calories ultimately so you would have had to consume 35,000 extra calories over the course of 6 days. If you get back to the grind and pick up your diet where you left off most/all should be gone in a week or so. If not, that was a serious 6 day bender :)

easiest way to gain is drop oatmeal and PB in a smoothie...you can jack that thing up to 600-700 calories easy. There is a post around here about exactly that (homemade weight gainer shakes).

I use Gold Standard and also Pro7ein (which is a Nutrishop brand) because I like the combo of fast and slow digest protein...which there are many out there that have a blend and aren't just straight whey.

First week of added calories will always puff up your weight gain. I wouldn't change anything until you check week 2 and see where you are at. My opinion is that people who go into "maintenance" stop being as careful as they were when they were losing...so just be careful and take it slow so you don't get discouraged…

Doing cardio at your level (at 277) will absolutely help you even if you "eat back" the initial caloric burn. You will see better results and be able to sustain more effectively if you include some sort of weight training into your plan. I would suggest very low weight, high rep/volume, and treat it as an extension of your…

Ketogenic diets do work but they are not generally good long term options. I have seen people use them to kickstart and lose a lot very quickly and then cycle into a more sustainable eating change.

Always now mate....never later, because its always later.

6'1 202lb, I am eating right at 2000 calories a day, about 1400 net and getting good results. My advice, even though it will take longer, slow step into your calorie deficit. Yes it adds weeks to your goal but its a far sight better than shock-n-awe.
-
Sometimes too, that even a small change in your diet...say, 5g less fat or 10g less carbs or 100 calories less will just kick things back into gear. Dont be afraid of making small tweaks.
-
Buddy, you are 6ft 2in and weigh less than 160 lbs? Eat more and grind those weights. You should probably see that you can add weight easily on a weekly basis if you are really working. You may be able to add 8-12 lb of lean muscle first year just based on your body but the above is right....its a slow road, you gotta…

For me, logging IS the motivation. In fact, last night, I looked at MFP three times to see what I could fit in at 9pm because I was starving. I couldnt find anything so I didnt eat anything. ^ the person above is right...start slow, take what you average intake is and subtract just a little bit and work to that. It will be…

my stupid brain and all its amazing rationalizations ;)

Jam oatmeal, bananas, and PB (or Almond) into your protein shake...easy 500 cal. I do find cooking the oatmeal makes it blend better but you don't have to. OR...go Gio14's gourmet route.

To the OP, a recomp will work but really your goal needs to be more training oriented than loss oriented or it will be very discouraging (at least it would be to me). If it were me, I would slowly add back in calories until you are full on maintenance (also knows as reverse dieting) which will help fix your metabolism if…

dont use the recommended but use the manual settings which will let you choose the number of calories per day and the % for your macros.

Check this out... http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/reverse-dieting-4-reasons-your-best-diet-might-be-reverse-diet.html Reverse Dieting is the best way to ease back out into maintenance or even lean/fat bulking.

Different rice is different...Basmati is less than Jasmine rice(like you said), Cal Rose is different again, etc. I assume its partly how its processed partly what kind of rice it is. I would imagine that grain to grain the rice that you get in japan may even be different genetically. As much as it sucks, gotta go with the…

It depends on how aggressive you are trying to be...the bigger the deficit the faster you will lose and the hard it will be to be strict. My suggestion is that you try to lose .5 a week and ramp up from there, be fastidious about logging your food, and try to make small changes this week that will carry over into the…

BUAHAHA

That is a perfect response! :)

calorie deficit supported by working out is certainly a key to weight loss...simply eating less does not improve caloric burn rate or metabolism. Aprith, its likely that calories are sneaking into your meals and you don't realize. Make sure you pre-plan your meals, get weights on everything, and don't snack...not even a…
-
Doing that will change your calorie / macro goals too though. The alternative is to put it into your "Check-In" which will keep track of your weight loss but won't change your goals. I do both...as everyone will need to eventually when they lose enough that their current calorie / macro goals stall out due to good…

Unsweetened Almond Milk is the best no carb alternative I have found...even non-fat milk has carbs.

Eating at a deficit may allow you to reduce your overall mass (weight loss) but exercise is gonna help you from getting "skinny fat" and it will help you manage your food/calorie more effectively...because you can ultimately eat more (which was said). The alternatives is that it helps improve caloric burn across the day…
