  • All I am reading is the Dunkin' Diet...and, yes, i will take a doughnut based diet any day!
  • Low cal overall, reduce carb/fat for protein (but stay low cal), get that cardio in. Flat stomach is all about body fat %
  • Um yea....There is no better reason to cardio :)
  • Totally agree, the high heels push your weight forward. Flatter shoes definitely help keep the feet from tingling.
  • This is simple...do you for you...f* em all if they don't like it. I guess that sounds a little abrasive but, really, its the only way to get where you want to go and stay there.
  • I find that when my feet start to tingle I know I have been pushing on the balls of my feet...sit back and drive through your heels more. Also, if you focus on the arm movements a minute every 5-10ish and that will take pressure off your feet (and help make it a little less single tone).
  • That protein is NUTS. If he was 225 and cutting below 8% then I would get it but this guy is 160 and not huge as he put it. Mate, I think your split is fine and its a good idea to test it out. My impression is that Matthewlatch is right that you could possibly do with more protein but, man, your calorie target makes me sad…
  • The answer really is, for whatever calorie intake you are looking for...its net calories that are important. So, as others said, you can eat 1200 and burn 600 or the alternative is to just use the product to track your calories and ignore the reporting components (the ones that say how many you are over/under, what you…
  • PDX kids...RCTID. Friend me if you are local (or not..if you want)
  • As a frequent flyer...I would do the same exact thing!! In the airport AND on the plane. Best I can do is eat my Qwest bar, drink a lot of water, and keep the struggle.
  • If you are still getting the same caffeine...then I would guess an imbalance with your salt, dehydration, or a combination. Truthfully though, anytime you dramatically change your diet like you have there is bound to be some biological blowback...and it could be for no good reason that you can diagnose.
  • Good on ya. Make it happen!!
  • Accidentally drop them in the bin...no apologies
  • What does this mean?
  • All of the calorie counters on cardio machines or generic counters on here, fitbit, etc are approximations based on averaged data...I think of it as a guideline rather than a hard metric. I think the only way you can be truly accurate is by using equipment that need to be calibrated with your vitals (weight, height, etc.)…
  • Good for you!! Starting is, well, the start!
  • Agreed. It is crazy how many calories are sneaking around in food that you don't expect...including the ones on your kids plates when you take bites (which I have a bad habit of doing!)
  • Uh Merv...actually the activity level should be determined based on what you do OUTSIDE the gym. You are right that if you count your gym efforts in your activity level you would be counting twice. My personal preference is that you are working toward deficit based on your "Net Calories" so if your goal is 1700 (which is…
  • Absolutely you can...actually you will find that you likely will attain your weight loss goals faster with strength training in concert with cardio than just cardio alone. The comment about calorie deficit/surplus really is more applicable to someone trying to gain lean muscle mass...so actually growing rather than toning…
  • There is a huge difference between gaining strength and gaining muscle AND there is a huge difference between big guys trying to gain lean muscle mass and people trying to just get a little more definition on the chest/back/arm/leg etc. I assume you are more interested in gaining strength than adding lean muscle mass and…
  • you will not outpace your weight loss with lean muscle add unless you are doing something really wrong....particularly in the short term outside of very special circumstances (and in those circumstances, the disparity will correct itself relatively quickly). If the goal is hard weight loss, you gotta have the scale and…
  • Skinny Cow...best thing ever.
  • This too...1000% this.
  • To a point "a calorie is a calorie" is correct but the closer you get to your target weight (or if you don't have much to lose it the first place), IIFYM doesn't always mean ANYTHING that fits your macros. to the OP, its probably that your macro targets aren't right for you...go a week, make a change, check results (rinse,…
