That looks delicious. Can I have the recipe? I just got an instant pot and I'm looking for appropriate meals Thanks

Diagnosed with lung cancer three and a half years ago. Had surgery and chemo. I echo the others about following your doctor but, be careful as most on colleges seem to think gaining weight is great. I gained 10 lb during the three-month chemo. They told me to eat anything so I ate lots of sugar. Not good nutritionally or…

Some of us try to check in every so often.

I'm 74 and had surgery for cancer two and a half years ago. Immediately after the surgery I was ecstatic if I could do 2000 steps a day. I have slowly worked myself up where my goal is now 7000 steps a day. I still have MFP set for 10,000. Lately I've hit this upper goal several times and that feels good. I have to now…

Love nom nom Paleo.

I'm recommitting rather than restarting. Since I am traveling right now it is difficult but I will do a full commitment mid January when I'm home. I really feel so much better on paleo. I have started making a meal plan and shopping list for the first week home.

I did Pilates for a number of years. Unfortunately, I lost 2/3rds of my lung to cancer about 2 1/2 years ago. I am trying to build up my stamina and grieving so that I can return. It is one of the few exercises I enjoyed.

I tried whole 30, but because I eat out a great deal, I couldn't stay the course. I mostly do Paleo. I have to be gluten and dairy free anyway, so I'm mostly there.

I'm in a similar situation right now. My doctor did suggest taking probiotics while on the antibiotics. Of course keep them several hours apart. Since I have to be dairy-free yogurt and kefir are out. And I don't like kimchi or sauerkraut. I don't seem to have a lot of options unless you guys come up with something for me.

But that's weirder than my usual breakfast. More commonly I have a vegetable omelet -- whatever I have on hand, for example spinach, leek, and zucchini, with 2 eggs, some feta. Oh, and coffee. ;-)[/quote] This sounds like my kind of breakfast, although sometimes I'll throw in some meat. My problem is that since it differs…

It goes Way Way Back (I'm in my 70's) but I would love to see meliarolles again (not sure of the spelling), but you would take a cylindrical roller of ice cream, remove the paper and put it in a cone that had an oblong top.

Thanks. Does it melt? I believe I try to Cheddar once, and it didn't melt well. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong and I should try again.

Depending on where you live, there are a number of gluten free support groups and or Celiac groups. Even if you can't attend meetings, their websites are usually full of useful information. Members are usually very willing to answer any questions. Good luck on your journey. The road will probably be bumpy but the end…

I made a mock potato salad using turnips and hard boiled eggs. I made the hard boiled eggs and the turnips in the instant pot at the same time. Work nicely.

Finally did it!!! Nothing blew up! (As a precaution I made neutral colors, just in case lol)

Thank you, that was very cute. Adele that I will try the instant pot in the next 3 days. My only memory of a pressure cooker was in the parental home. I came home from school some 60+ years ago to find the kitchen covered in red borscht. I think I have been fighting that visual for several months now. Time to move on.

I've also added walnuts and banana slices. The mix is naturally sweet enough and I don't need syrup.

It's the best paleo pancake I've tried yet. I add egg and almond milk. It is fluffy light with it somewhat crisp exterior.

How do you make Paleo pho? What do you use for noodles?
-
I've liked some recipes from Nom Nom Paleo. They have always worked out well.

Hi Trista. This group is very quiet, unfortunately, but I hope it can keep us both on track.

What is Yacon syrup?
-
Unfortunately yes with regard to the goat cheese. I haven't checked sheep cheese yet. I am traveling now, but when I get home I will probably try to go dairy free for a few weeks and see how I do. Then if all is well, I can try adding back some sheep cheese to see how I do.

I Emily Gluten Sensitive, but my husband is celiac, and so we follow the same strict diet. My symptoms include gaseness, bloating and some stomach pain. I also occasionally get alternating hard and loose stools.

Thanks, we'll see if we get any responses. It's hard when you're recovering from serious illness and keep eating too much.

How do you make chicken crust for pizza? It sounds interesting and I would like to give it a try.
-
Welcome back! Hope we can both "stay the course."

Best of health on your journey

Have you tried Chestnut flour? It has a natural sweet taste, so you can use less of any other sweetener. I have only used it once for a crepe like dessert, but it worked out well for me.

So are mung bean sprouts paleo / Primal compliant even though the mung beans themselves are not?
