OMG! You got to go to the DERBY! Don't let some kettle tarnish your experience. Tomorrow, you can cut back a bit, exercise more or both. This was the DERBY. It's a calorie free zone. -Jay Alway looking for friends

I got in a blistering 25 miles at 18.8 per mile. It was my first ride this month. I would like to ride 250 miles but if I get the opportunity to take a few long day rides, I could get in 500 which would be 10 for each year of my age in my birth month.

I too just got a fit bit. I'd be honored to support you here and there too.

Thanks all. I am not going to stop eating healthier. I just don't think logging every bite is the way to go for me. It's that this is getting too tough. The first to weeks was tough. It not happening for me. It's time to change things up.

I understand.

You are exactly tdatsenko. 2 weeks ago, while sick at home with bronchitis, a sinus infection and an ear ache, I had a frozen ice cream cone. I also drank so sprite and other soft drinks in hopes of getting better. The 2 days with 2.5 k of exercise are errors. I have Stava link to MFP as well as my garmin. It appears that…

Thanks. I am going to try 2 weeks of -500 net calories, which will require 2 hrs of fat burning exercise every day. That should = ~ 6 pounds a week. I'll take my vitamins and get enough protein to maintain muscle. Other than that, lemon water.

Once I started logging everything, it wasn't an issue to stay below 1500. Most days I am well below 1500 calories gross, and when I can ride, that burns ~800 calories/hour. Seasonal allergies have caught up to me at the moments, and I think I'll 'feed a cold' to try and shake this. The jury seems divided on the steady vs.…

Thank you shadow. I think my issue predates the 5/5 problems, by at least a week.

With all do respect to the MFP team who pointed out the 5/5-5/7 problems, MFP hasn't been able to track a single step since ~4/28/2015. No one. Not once. Major bummer.

This one MIGHT explain what I recall: "It's been known for some time that, calorie for calorie, it's easier to lose weight by dieting than by exercise," http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/01/dieting-vs-exercise-for-weight-loss/?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share

Given done of the feedback, I went looking for the article(s) I vaguely recall. I am not sure I have found it yet but here are a few that impact this concept: CALORIES ARE UNDERSTATED ON FOOD LABELS. EATING MORE CALORIES COMPOUNDS THE PROBLEM…
