  • You are doing brilliantly, Bee! 13.5 in 6 weeks is tremendous! A great pace! I am glad you are finding success with this plan!
  • I hope it goes well. They have them in Texas, but nowhere else, for some reason. I have heard that it is as successful as Weight Watchers. I know you will do brilliantly!
  • Glad you are feeling well!
  • I have been busy with a bunch of things and now am in the midst of packing for a move. Fun times. Must get back on track.
  • It is pretty appalling, I agree. You can get to thousands of places in Europe or Asia quickly and relatively inexpensively. Here, though, not so much. It's a shame.
  • Bee, glad he is doing better.
  • I'm not hungry...I'm bored...tired...tempted.. I eat for lots of reasons. My control varies by the day.
  • I think it is necessary. How do you sign anything in print? Plus it looks nice and has been proven to strengthen the part of the brain that deals with fine motor skills. Today I was with a 12 year old girl who was writing some thank you notes. Print of course. And her handwriting looked like it was done by a 7 year old…
  • Ours are the same. They start in around 5:45 a.m. You would never guess that they are fed daily, without fail. If they don't wake someone up their day is ruined.
  • I'd be more excured about cleaning if spray bottles made a laser noise too.
  • Walking is always good exercise. It's free, you already know how to do it and you can do it almost any time and place. I know quite a few people who have lost weight, kept it off and got more fit primarily by walking.
  • Being miserable at work can certainly cause anxiety and depression. This change may do the trick. I wish him luck. Please let us know how he fares.
  • Farback, your boat is lovely. Looks like getting out was a project in itself. Recently I met a man who makes boats all by hand. Nails, wood and paint, no epoxy. He was doing a sailboat at the time. Yours looks as nice as anything he had in his boat buidling shop. The prices he asked were fierce. I think you could make a…
  • Breathing and exercise are good. If you feel it holds him back I would also suggest he talk to a therapist. My nephew had an anxiety disorder and did just that and made a huge improvement. It can be very helpful to see what the underlying issues actually are.
  • Spring has sprung and for the past three days the clouds have sprung April showers. Got new sneaks today and start walking again tomorrow. Haven't walked regularly for months and haven't had a good walk in weeks. Time to get moving again.
  • Bbee - what is a push bike? I like your new idea of cutting out carbs at night and getting more exercise. I bet that will get you some good results. As much as we hate cutting carbs I don't see any other way. My doctor says the same. And as a fellow Italian, he hates doing it too!

  • BBee, he would make a great lawyer but plans to go into marine science and technology. perhaps he will wind up in maritime law? He is a character, to say the least. April is practically here! Have you decided? I am going back to my previously successful ways. I really have to move more, though. Psychologically, if I…

  • A little Tom Jones is good for the soul. "Why Why Why Delilah" anyone?
  • LOL. Good ones!
  • I thought she was hilarious. Been there. You're trucking right along and then find out that it's just the warm up and you are ready for the paramedics.
  • I have had to restart more than once. That's the beauty of it all. We can keep going til we get it right.
  • The nephew is a riot. We think he should be a lawyer. He will argue you to death. Yes, we are trying to keep our food as clean and streamlined as possible. We learned a lot and will adapt accordingly. How are you getting on with it? Did you start it up again?

  • Well we have finished and done the reintroduction phase. The final results were that each of us feel less letharigic (which is awesome), general sleep quality has improved (although the nephew has always slept like a coma patient so his is negligible) and we discovered that dairy bothers us all (more in straight milk form…

  • I should go eat a skinny person too. Trouble is I don't actually know any!
  • LOL. Some very good ones!
  • Hahaha, The pushup minion and I were separated at birth.
  • LOL. Well, I have BEEN a crab throughout most of this so.... Yes, I will let you know. But my best guess is it will turn out dairy makes me gassy and carbohydrates (especially the delicious ones) gum me up a bit. So both will have to be limited. Will let you know, though, if I am right. My 'predictive spelling' will not…

  • BBee, I am almost done, thank Christ. I am feeling slightly more energetic, but that could be because the sun came out. My guess, and I won't know for sure til I do reentry is that dairy and sugar are my bugaboo. I guess I will end up cutting way back on dairy, sugar and crabs but I really don't believe in eliminating…

  • UncleMac, you are loaded with humor and charm. Smile at one of the ladies that catches your eye. If she smiles back suggest coffee. I cannot see one reason why she would say no. Even if there is ultimately no spark, she could introduce you to someone else. Female friends lead to romantic partners. Try it. I am shy too but…
  • Ah these are good. Gotta laugh.
