I thought I was the only one. My sister got a Bowflex Max Trainer which is an elliptical/something else sort of thingy. One program I can do a whopping 7 minutes. I have always found it hard. But I think it can be done at any age. Just sometimes takes longer than you want it to.

I had a Firm workout, complete with this thing that looked like a low table to step up and down on. Eventually, it became a great snack table... No longer have the workout, on VHS! But when you turn exercise equipment into a snack table, well, that says it all!

Well I belong to a nice social club where I am at the younger end of the spectrum. Surprisingly, only 25% of the chatter is about medical stuff. Another 25% is about grandkids and trips. The rest is about the old days and food. I am actually surprised that the medical stuff isn't more dominant.

Here in NYC, winter has been like menopause. Hot flashes, with a heck of a mood swing in the form of a near record blizzard thrown in. Now we are back to hot flashes. I imagine winter is going to exit early and we will have a miserably hot summer. Just because.

I would say chocolate but that would be bad of me. >:) Reading a book or feeling some sun on my face works pretty well. As does a manicure.

We should do a group jump! I don't even want the short decline. I want to go from being overexcited by something and keeling over then and there. But it won't get to the end firing on all cylinders if I don't get in gear now. You folks do me a world of good.

I think it's probably a mix of things. Is there anything you've been dying to do but putting off? Perhaps making plans to accomplish that will get you over the hump.

Well my guess would be to put it into the recipe gizmo -- how much meat, veg, etc you put in and divide it by the number of servings you get from the batch. It will just be roughly estimated but it might be enough. Broth is relatively lo cal so I don't think you should stop making it.

I was, too, which made me happy because I would like better looking arms. I started feeling the burn about 4 minutes in and quit at 7. I practically needed oxygen. But I am determined to do better each time.

Let me know how you fared. My BIL said it hook him a couple of hours but was not terribly hard. I am back on it tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. Hopefully I can go the full 14. good luck!

Tree down, all my delicious favorites are out of the house, Christmas is over. I have set only three daily goals for this month - at or under goal, 8 glasses of water, 30 minutes of exercise. So that is what I want to achieve today.

And we're back. January goals: 1. At or under goal 2. Drink 8 glasses water 3. Min 30 minutes exercise a day/7 days Jan 3 Me: 0 Gremlins: 3 My birthday today. There was cake, there was wine..... but tomorrow we start again. The holidays are over, back to full day logging.

I remember the first Weight Watchers meeting of the year when I was doing that plan! You would think they were giving away cars. by mid February or March it would be down to the usual numbers.

It is shocking how sometimes what we perceive as the healthier choice may actually be higher in calories than what the "less good choice" might be. It does get tricky.
