Thanks for all the responses, everybody. At the people who wondered if I was trying to feed my soul or indulge because of an MFP friend, don't worry, I'm not trying to do those things. LOL :) I eat junk within my calories when I can get access to it. But these threads are fun and interesting.

I would drink a diet soda if it was good (haven't really had any). I once found a soda that wasn't labeled diet or anything and tasted good, but was only 15 cal a cup. But I'd be too embarrassed to do it if someone could see.

I think we do. I eat food for enjoyment, within my calories of course, as well as for fuel. I think I'd do well to learn to eat for fuel more often. But using ot as an emotional crutch really messes us up.

I dont know how to reward myself. I've tried to think of ways to. There are things I like to do, but I dont consider them rewards. Watching Disney clips and Disney movie reviews, reading articles online, writing stories, hanging out with my family, and, of course, sweets.

Thanks for sticking up for me. I'm mostly over the panic now and will try to keep a level head next time. I don't know the caks in that rice, but if I thought it would mess my progress up when I first got it I wouldn't have eaten it. I am doing my best and didn't think three servings of rice with an orange and a sandwich…
