Home cooked meals that are packed with carbs and savory meat, chips, candy, cake.

I'm fasting for Ramadan.

I ate badly. First I spent some time thinking I was eating healthily just because I avoided junk food and fast food, but used so many of my 1300 calories on simple carbs - bread, jelly, sugar, juice. Then I'd eat my mom's cooking, which was none too healthy, and to keep from underestimating what I was eating, I'd get a…

Just enjoy your day and savor the meal your children will lavish on you for being THEIR WONDERFUL MOMMA. My mother might be overweight, even obese, butcha know what? If I took her out to eat for Mother's Day and found out she was worried about calories, I'd cry for hours. I expect my momma to eat 6,000 CALORIES at MINIMUM…

Veggies, fruits, lean protein.

I've never had kale or quinoa and i don't eat salad. I prefer cooked thick veggies. I don't really eat whole grain bread, either, unless it's the only bread there. I just eat white bread moderately.

Yay for fruit!

Used to love them as a kid. I am by NO means a super healthy eater who never has junk, but I can't stand them now. The pastry is bland, the filling is too sweet, and my chest literally hurts and my stomach feels sick after one bite. It's like eating toothpaste mixed with sugar on a flavorless cookie.

Thanks for all the insight, everybody. To those pf you who have had crappy exoeriences, I'm sorry. <3

But it seems there are alot of really big people who feel like not being overweight would look weird on them, and the bigger you get, the more contented you'd be just to be less overweight, even if you're still big.

I love my family, but my parents and sister are very overweight / obese, and I haven't shared my goal weight with them - my sister because she probably wouldn't care to hear about that kind of thing anyway, and my parents because I do think they'd say it's too skinny for me. My mother already told me that at 200-240 lbs, I…

There can be miracles When you believe Though hope is frail It's hard to kill. Who knows what miracles You can achieve When you believe Somehow you will.

:) I can. And i think I'd better so the food doesn't start to go bad after five or six days.

Thanks, everyone. It was my first time making pasta with spaghetti sauce. Wasn't awesome, but was not bad either. To its credit - I had a small bowl and I'M STUFFED!!! I made enough for five 400 calorie dinners and IDK if I'll be able to finish it in that amount of time! And the cool thing about it is the ingredients for…

I calculated my ideal weight and it's in the 140s. I want to be smaller than that, so my goal is anywhere between 130 and 140. At 5'3, I'm pretty short.

Hi. :). I don't think I'll be working out during Ramadan. And this will be my first Ramadan where I actually eat healthy since I had a hard time the last Ramadan in which I was trying to lose weight, but I guess I'll be eating what I usually eat - fruit, eggs, oatmeal and lots of water. I personally don't eat fried foods…

Will try all your suggestions.

Thx, everyone. Last time I cooked the fish on a nonstick, it was mushy. Maybe its something I'm doing wrong.
-
I'll try that. Thx. :)

:( I don't have a steamer. Trying to find steaming techniques. I'm unemployed right now, trying not to spend too much.

When my mother and father were married, I ate pretty typical stuff, but a little too much of it, obviously, as I was a somewhat heavy kid, though I wasn't chubby or fat yet. All four of us kids were at pretty healthy weights at that time, though both parents were obese, but I was on the heavier side - my kid brother and…

Just think of all the spit that flies onto that food when lil loud kids talk. The saliva that gets all over it when the fork they ate off of scrapes against the food. The germs from lil sticky fingers. UGGGGGGHHHHHH EWWWWWWW!
-
:) Thank you!

I know this is an old post, but you are stunningly beautiful.

It's just water. Dont worry about it. Once you've peed it all off, remember to weigh first thing in the morning before eating and drinking next time. I used to be so obsessed with water weight that I took laxatives to get rid of it. I know it's not worthy of all that stress now.

<3 love lil kids. I always decline food from lil sticky hands, but lil sticky hands love diving into my bowl. The funny part is I'll tell baby cousin, "Go get more food if you're hungry," but she'll reply with, "I a'weady ate," as her hands come digging back in.

???
-
Probably not, as lil chubby cousin is a girl last time I checked - but then again, sounds eerily familiar, so it can't hurt to check again. :p BRB (checking with aunt and government records.)
