Oooh, I've got Mexican Gothic waiting to be read, I hope it's good too! I finished The Once And Future Witches, so good! I also read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, which was a fun read for Pride! My next is also a YA Pride pick, too, Love & Other Curses, it's got me hooked already.

Totally @Steve25k, and silly question, can we just keep this thread alive as a group? What's one thing you all did today to take care of your body? I ate less junk today, made a healthy lunch for my family & took a long hot walk. 🔥👟 More than 1 thing, but today is a good day 😊

Same and same! I need to lose 140lbs (holy *kitten*, typing that is a reality check), and I actually hopped on to look for a virtual workout buddy. I'd like to message back and forth and get to know someone as we're working on this goal together. If that sounds good to anyone here, add & msg me!

Awesome, you look fab! I just looked up dietbet, how often do you have to weigh in? Sounds fun!

I love the idea of venting in a judgement free space & I need this right now, so I'm about to get real personal. I'm 263lbs, living in total denial, then last night I found under my belly a raw angry line of skin from my fat roll & I flipped out! Broke right thru my denial & defenses, now I'm a vulnerable mess. I've got to…

I'm reading Intuitive Eating, and Forever is the worst long time by Camille Pagan. Both are good, i should post again when I'm done. I just finished The Sun is also a Star which was a very sweet read, now I want to read her book Everything, Everything.

Add me! 32 & 265 :)

Flopped @ lunch, but not as bad as usual. Prepared lunch for tomorrow tonite so I don't fall into the trap again. :s Although I don't drink much soda, i am hooked on coffee with flavor & cream. Switching to sugar free flavor & milk to get less calories. Trying to limit to one first thing, but I love one during my afternoon…

Hiya, I understand how you feel & I struggle with it too. I haven't mastered consistent workouts, but I have encorporated the kids, 2 & 5 in low Cardio by walking with them or even dancing around the living room. I also use the on-site childcare for a class or hour workout session probably once a week. They like it & ask…

Same here, feel free to add! You can do it, mfp is a great resource

Hi there, welcome! I'm a 31 yo mother of 2 trying to get back in the swing of healthy habits. Feel free to add me! You can do it :)

Yes! A challenge I can commit to! Getting up & doing SOMETHING everyday, great idea. Day 1: Zumba class

Love to join! Need to lose weight & a once or twice a day fast food is not going to cut it. I'm a dollar menu junkie who needs this challenge! When do we start? :D
-
Dollar Store does have some great pics. I just saw We Are Water by Wally Lamb @ mine. I'm on to Me Before You & I can't put it down! May be a personal record for the fastest I've read a book.

Hi Elle, I'm looking for active groups also. I also have 100 + lbs to lose, but I'm focusing on 10 at a time. Adding you!

At 262 lbs I've broken 3 chairs within the last month. I needed to wake the hell up & realize what I'm doing to my body. Lots of chairs pinch & dig into my sides. I don't want to live like this. I think when I look in the mirror I see a thinner version of myself, or I'm deeper in denial than I realize.

I used it when I couldn't get to the gym. I did 15 min & felt I got a really good workout. Wish they had more for really new /overweight folks like me, but Definitely will use again.

Halfway through with Janet Evanovich's Four to Score, needed a light fun read, love the series :# <3
-
Missed my usual gym time, so i took the kids & dog for a walk & did strength training in my living room. Big improvement for me!
-
And everything Madonna!
-
LOVE that mantra! @ladycclear gonna put that on my fridge
-
I added an extra 15min of walking to my workout. I just felt that I'd like to walk a bit after strength training :)
-
So I'm gonna state the obvious and say that that's not you in your profile pic? @BroScience83 Interesting...

There's no crying in MFP! (haha, League of their Own anyone?) I hope you are crying for joy, bc sometimes 2 minutes at the gym is a victory in an of itself. I'll borrow from AA, keep coming back! It's hard but so worth it. What you did shows us that you've got what it takes to make your goals & you are tougher than you…

@PaytraB It was on BookBub recently so I got it for a steal! I loved Bless Me, Ultima, & I'm glad I picked it up. ;)

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, and Tortuga by Rudolpho Anaya. Both very good so far. I'm starting my own kind of happiness project & its been very good for me. Tortuga, I love magical realism in Latin lit & this does not disappoint!

I tend to alternate heavy & light reads, nonfiction & fiction, so i end up alternating between ebooks & paper too. I won't go too long without a real book or i feel like I'm cheating ;)
-
I find like @katekizm that i have to stay on my feet as soon as i get home & stay there until I'm done with everything that needs doing. If i hit the couch, it takes an act of God to get anything done after. It's like the day his me when i sit down.

Hi Amanda @Forty6and2, i can relate to wanting the extra support, feel free to add me & reach out when you need to touch base. Wish you the best!
