This is the way I lose weight. No more then a pound a week. Then I will stall for 2-3 weeks followed by a sudden weight loss of 3-4 pounds.

Everyone is different. I'm neither young or athletic and I lost weight on 2000 calories about 25 pounds. I lose weight slowly whether on 2000 calories or the 1500 calories I'm currently on.Possibly because I find exercise difficult due to arthritis.

Congratulations on reaching goal. I enjoyed reading this post because I'm a slow loser too. But I've been making slow but steady progress since I started in Jan 2014.
