I had ice cream yesterday a payday candy bar earlier in the week and a 20 oz bottle of coke on another day. I ended up under by caloric allowance by an average of 150 calories Mon-Sat and when I weighed myself today I had lost 3 pounds. So it is my understanding you can eat what you want as long as you maintain a caloric…

I ate 1304 calories yesterday, so 186 calories under my allowance. That's because I "bank" calories during the week so I have 500 extra calories to "spend" on Sunday. Today I'll be 400-500 calories over my allowance. But when I average all the days for the week the average will be under my daily allowance.

Very inspiring story. I take it your arthritis is better since you seem to be very active. I ask because I have knee arthritis that I hope will improve with weight loss.

I like Subway and found they have an online calculator for their menu. I was able to get a six inch Turkey with cheese, lite mayo, veggies on Italian for 350 cal. Contrast that with a cheeseburger which is around 500 calories.

You can lose weight without exercise. I lost over 50 pounds with almost no exercise. I didn't exercise due to knee problems. I recently start doing Leslie Sansone because her walking workout is low impact and moderate energy. Not hard on the knees.

That's impressive. Congratulations on your success.

Welcome Marvin, you can reach your goal. Among the success stories at MFP is one about a man who went from 511 pounds to under 200. Over at YT there is a channel by a lady Kimonica who was 500 lbs and is now about 250 lbs. Both lost weight by changing their eating habits and adding exercise.

Wow what a difference. You look great!

I added you.

Feel free to add me. I'll add you. I'd also like to have support.

Forgive yourself and get back on track tomorrow.

That is very impressive. I look forward to reading your story.

MFP says I should have 1490 calories a day. Lately I haven't been having a problem staying under my daily goal. I do that by eating 95% of my meals at home where I measure and weight everything.I save high calorie foods for treats. For example I had one chocolate chip cookie last month. I allow myself the occasional treat…

I used to work night shift and gained a lot of weight. A meal during my shift as well as a meal before and sometimes a meal after right before I went to bed. Also a lot of fast food as that was easier then cooking at home. I watched an episode of extreme weight loss featuring a nurse. During the episode the nurse started a…

I found I can't cut out foods that I love but I do well if I can have them in moderation. My weight loss is slow but steady about 50 pounds in a year with no exercise. I'm slowly tweaking my diet to include more low calorie alternatives and have recently found an exercise that I enjoy. Most days I have no problem staying…

Having more energy and less pain. Being off all my high blood pressure meds. So far I'm off two of my meds and have cut the dose in half of two more.

Congratulations on maintaining. Great job!

You look good. Great job!

Congratulations, very inspiring. May I ask, how did you lose 130 lbs in 9 months? About how many calories did you eat and did you exercise?
-
Congratulations. You look great!

OP, you look great. Very happy to hear about the improvement in the loose skin. I have always heard that you need to eat more times a day to keep your metabolism up. Yet I find eating three times a day a struggle. Nice to know that eating once a day did not slow your metabolism.

Once a week on Sunday morning.

I'm confident that I can reach my weight loss goals because I have changed my thinking about food and nutrition. I went from thinking I could eat anything I want and as much as I want. Mindlessly eating junk food. To thinking about what I am eating and the amount I am eating. I still eat most of the foods I enjoy but in…

Fast food is tempting and hard to give up. Keeping a food diary at MFP and seeing just how bad fast food can be helped me with my cravings for it. Fast food is loaded with calories, carbs, fat and sodium. Knowing that makes it easier for me to avoid. Now I eat almost all of my meals at home which saves me lots of money.I…

I changed my thinking in order to change my life. I went from a person who felt I could eat what I want whenever I want and not exercise. To a person who watches my calories, logs my food everyday, avoids fast foods and exercised five times a week. The result is the pounds are coming off slowly but surely.

I want to fit into size 9 pants. Back when I was 160 pounds the smallest size I fit in was 12. To be able to walk without pain.

Hi, I developed some health problems related to being over weight. That was my motivation to start counting calories and lose weight. I've lost about 50 pounds which has done wonders for my health. Prior to losing weight I was addicted to fast food. Logging my food into MFP opened my eyes to how on unhealthy I was eating…
