Curses! The timings don't work :'(
-
1961dublin, you have now got me checking out the times of pilates classes at my gym!
-
Be honest Trust the system The only legitimate chocolate is that bought by someone else for you

The weather today allowed the wearing of a sleeveless top to work. Colleagues said, "Carnhot, have you been lifting weights? Your arms are great." Since my arms are an area of unhappiness for me, that was a good thing to hear. Also, I have been offered a new job; slim, confident me aced the interview.
-
I used to have one of those. It was great for hanging clothes on.

Yes, you can and will do it! Today, not only did I enter the testosterone zone alone, I even asked a crowd of gentlemen who were crowding but not using some kit to move. They were very pleasant and polite about doing so. No need to feel intimidated.
-
I went into the testosterone zone this morning with my trainer. I will feel more confident to go by myself tomorrow. Getting a staff member to show you the ropes will probably be a good way for you to ease yourself in. Good luck.
-
Ask your trainer; he knows you, your goals, your limitations. We know none of this.
-
Well done, caitlin. It is the weather for swimsuit shopping today.
-
Thanks, ilex.

Your body is counting it very accurately, and that's the only count tgat really matters.
-
I am almost afraid to ask but...kitten?

I have lost 66lb and have a BMI of 22. I am 5'7" and weigh 148lb. I have been doing resistance work and am happy with most of me - well, as happy as being 52, having pushed out and fed two babies and got the loose skin I deserve allows me to be. My arms seem to be the last to go. I think it's partly genetic; thanks, Mum x

The problem is keeping it at a "bit" of chocolate. The rule now is that I may not buy MYSELF chocolate; chocolate bought for me, or by me for groups of which I am a part, is fair game. It's a nice distinction but it works for me.
-
I think you are right, mommarnurse. It's all a learning curve, and it's good to be on this rather than the other side of it! bkstein, your son is learning good habits from you. That's a win!
-
Thanks. Since the scale says I have gained 4 times what I "should" have, those numbers make perfect sense.
-
One solution would be chocolate and alcohol, but somehow that doesn't seem like a healthy long term fix (though I have been enjoying guilt free for the past few days:) )
-
This weekend, Easter weekend, that is far from being a problem! I am WAY over but it doesn't matter because I have built up such a buffer. It is normal life that I have to get a grip on.
-
I am opening my diary because, 2 months on, I am still losing. My trainer says "eat more", and it should be that simple, but it isn't.
-
I read this as swearing and wondered if you were burning your mouth with the power of your profanities.
-
That's what mine looks lkke. I am more concerned about my arms, though, as they will be visible this Summer. Still better than being obese, though.
-
I run my cico on a weekly basis to allow for this sort of thing. I have a dinner on Thursday which I am "saving up" for by eating light and doing some extra exercise.
-
Google Fit does it.
-
My body is now telling me it doesn't like it when I overeat.
-
Calories. I can spell really.
-
Pasties for lunch - my son's birthday choice. Chinese lemon chicken for tea. I am about 2000 caliries over this weekend
-
I have lost 60 lb and 3 dress sizes. Colleagues tell me I look 10 years younger.
-
I will be over this weekend - cake at choir shindig yesterday and making pasties and Nanaimo for son's birthday today. Weekdays allow me to compensate, though.
-
Thanks :D
-
Well done indeed. Best wishes for the next, healthy 33 years and beyond.
