  • I will say that training for average speed means nothing since speed is almost totally dependent on terrain and winds, not just your effort. Heart rate is a decent training tool but it's a lagging indicator. A power meter really is the best way to gauge effort but it's not within most people's price range and you can do…
  • I'm new to this area of the forum but have really picked up cycling for weight loss and it's really become a passion for me. I track on my Garmin 510 and go for a weekly goal of 80 miles. I finished this month with 481 miles. I use a power meter so I really don't focus on average speed and try to ride to a steady power. I…
  • High fiber English muffin with an egg is 170, add a little sriracha or other hot sauce for a flavor kick I normally add a light and fit Greek yogurt which totals up to 250 or no sugar added red grape fruit to bring me up to 210.. If I'm in a rush one of those Greek yogurts plus a small portion of kind granola tossed in is…

  • Mine is exactly like yours. I weigh daily as well. Don't let the small movements get you down, and if it is then either put in the avg weight from all week or just pick one day a week.
  • On top of everyone saying get a food scale, which I'd say is huge. I found that being sure to not skip anything when logging has really helped me. Little things like some butter here, some oil in there, and maybe some nuts to snack on while cooking were adding a couple hundred calories per day and going untracked.
  • There are some really good protein powders out there that aren't full of junk and fillers. I know for me it's an easy way to get 25-50~ grams of protein in a day. I use mine even more as a post workout drink or morning meal replacement when I'm running behind and don't have time to make breakfast. On the food side, cook…
  • I think you are looking great. Your chest, stomach, and thighs look much thinner. Looks like you've had a butt lift! I don't want to come off as anti shakeology, but man that stuff is expensive! Without advertising a site, i'd recommend anyone looking for shake alternatives to try "Team Skip" protein formula and does a…
  • I totally agree and I have no issues weighing myself daily because I don't get hung up on the number. I'm just a numbers kind of person and like to be able to see trend data. And honestly, it seems to match up with the whole whoosh thing, since my big drops timed to a workout/nonworkout day. It's more like a few day cycle.…
  • I've noticed by weighing myself every morning that my body tends to lose a lot over one or two days, will bounce back up a very slight bit and stall for another few days and then lose another pound or even two. I'm riding my bike indoors for 1-2 two hours every other day and doing pretty well sticking to my ~1600 calorie…
